🎥 Ever feel like your dog is ignoring you? Here’s why repeating commands might be the culprit!
🐾 When we repeat commands like “sit, sit, sit,” it can start to sound like background noise to your dog—much like Rachel hearing “blah blah blah” in *Friends*! Dogs learn best when we give clear, confident instructions and give them time to process and respond.
✨ Instead of repeating:
1️⃣ Say the command once.
2️⃣ Give them a moment to respond.
3️⃣ If they don’t follow through, it might mean they don’t fully understand the expectation yet. Take it as a cue to practise more and use a lure or guidance to help them succeed!
💡 Clarity and consistency are key to effective training—and to keeping your dog engaged.

🗺️Where? - Ryelands Park. Park in the car park and walk up towards the train bridge, parallel to Torrisholme Road. I’ll be on the park, opposite the Edenvale Crescent junction.
You will need -
🐕🦺Your dog (collar/harness and lead)
🫘A treat pouch filled with treats - plenty of treats and no plastic bags in pockets!
🥾Warm clothes and suitable footwear.
