Amazing wonderful news!! Our boys have just been officially adopted! They have been very good boys and their new family loves them!

Thank you so much to everyone who helped with Neros operation he can now live a normal happy life with his new family. A very happy ending 🥰

22nd Lancaster Rainbows and Animal Care with Zeus, the retired greyhound, had a super time together last week. The Rainbows learnt what pets need to be happy, and made Snuffle Boxes for dogs ! They filled cardboard boxes with tissue paper, little boxes and bits of newspaper. Then they hid cheese and other treats for Zeus to find. A really cheap and easy way to entertain your dog as they have to work hard to find their treat!

The girls were wonderfully calm with Zeus and showed what really kind and caring young people we are lucky to have in Lancaster and Morecambe. Many thanks to Rachel Ivory their dedicated and inspirational leader who devotes so much time to enabling their great sessions.

Casper and Diego are very sweet little boys who are looking for a new owner who has lots of time to help them come round and feel more confident, they were very nervous when they first arrived but now get on well with the staff and volunteers. They enjoy playing with other dogs and are a sweet pair of boys. Diego is more confident and loves to meet new people Casper can take a little longer to make friends. They enjoy a good long walk and walk well on the lead but can be yappy if they see other dogs or people they don't no. We have been told they were not house trained in their last home. They have lived with children but have nipped so children over 10 years would be best. Casper and Diego can be home together or separately.

We are looking for a Dog Grooming Manager to run our dog groom room on site. The position is 40 hours a week 9am to 5pm Tuesday to Saturday. Rate of pay to be negotiated and the candidate will need level 3 or 4 training in grooming.

Handsome young man Thor joined us this week 🥰 he is an 11 month old labrador x cocker spaniel looking for a new home with a family used to working/energetic breeds. He is strong on the lead and needs to learn a few manners but he will make a wonderful pet with someone willing to put a bit of time in. He isn't too keen on being left alone at present so will need a family to work with him on this. He has lived with children but can jump up so may be best with slightly older kids. He also gets along with other dogs (though his play style can be a bit much for some) he can't wait to find a new home where he can go on lots of adventures 🥰 if you think he sounds a good fit please pop in and see us any day of the week to complete an application form

Sad day for Animal Care yesterday as we packed up the last of our things from our GB Antiques stall. We would like to thank everyone at GB for letting us have a stall for over 15 years it has been an amazing help to the animals!
A big thank you to volunteers Debbie Baxter and Pauline Seymour who have ran the stall for years for us!
GB Antiques will be missed and thank you very much for your support! 😢💚
