I hope you've all had a wonderful Christmas, and all you lovely people have been spoilt.

We're sorry to announce that The Dog Place will be closing down by the end of February.

The farm has been sold.

We don't have an exact closing date as we'll be keeping it open as long as possible.

What does this mean for you?

It means you'll only be able to schedule appointments seven days ahead, instead of the usual 30 days. This might change to shorter if needed.

We're still accepting bookings from XL Bullys and other banned breeds if booked with a value exception form, as well as all the other breeds of dogs.

We'll still have the agility equipment in the barn, and it'll be usable until it's sold on prior to closing. If it is sold prior to the closing of the building, all agility bookings will be notified.

Please still take your dogs poo home, and leave the place tidy after use. I don't want people walking into a mess.

Please don't come earlier than your appointment or hang about in the buffer time. That time is so that dogs don't have to be stressed by other dogs or people.

We have appreciated all your support these years, and the people who have always gone above and beyond for us.

🚨Poo Alert 🚨

I've not had to do this for months, but this week seems to be the surge of the idiots and the dog poo.

We have not only had dog poo left all over the place on multiple days, but also people leaving it on the equipment.

We understand you can't always pick it up, poos aren't always perfect but you can wash it down.

There is a tap in the building.

Or at the very least let us know.

Then there is the sneaky p**pers.

People who are picking up their dogs p**p, and then putting it in the toilet bins!!!!

We ask that you take your dogs poo home with you, not because we went to be awkward but because we have to pay for the removal of it.

So to keep our cost low we opted to have you take it and dispose of it.

If we bring in a special bin the price of hire will go up.

I know there are new people joining us recently but come on, use your brains.

Pick up the poo and take it home!!!

It's the perfect place to avoid the wet weather, practice recall or just enjoy a stress free play time with your dog.

We are open 7am til 10pm daily

We love our agility set!

We love that we can use it all year round and have fun with our dogs.

We love that people can have fun or practice their skills.

We love that the dogs have a blast on it :D

All we ask is that you use it safely, put it away after use in your hire time and if you are using a professional trainer to learn how to use it you send us a copy of their insurance for our records.

I don't think I can make it any clearer.

I have to assume at this point people can't read and are just lazy.

This morning a regular has come into The Dog Place and found 8 dog poos.

EIGHT!

I know who was in last last night but this not an isolated incident. I am getting almost daily messages about the number of dog poos being left because people hiring it are lazy and cannot be arsed to collect it.

Pick it up.

We provide poo bags as well.

Put it in your car and take it home.

The bin outside is not for you.

Read the terms and conditions, you booked the place so I can assume you at least read basic English and can read the signs in the place as well.

Do not brush your dog in our barn you messy sods. The amount of hair left in there yesterday could only have been from properly brushing a dog out.

Just no!

Also put the equipment away. You know you should. Not every dog is capable of using or safe to use it, and not every person there can move it.

I cannot check between each appointment, and I do rely on people being sensible and able to read, and actually do as they're told.

Come on guys.

Look after the place please or we'll have no option but to staff it and then put the prices up to cover the cost of someone checking it because you cannot be arsed to pick up dog s**t.

For those of you who actually look after the place, pick up other people's dogs s**ts and generally help out. Thank you. I appreciate you all very much.

We have finally updated the booking form to accept dogs classed as "banned breeds"

We welcome XL Bullys and any banner breed as long as a copy of the insurance and exemption certificate is uploaded at the time of booking.

We also require all dog walkers to upload a copy of their up to date insurance when booking.

Please ensure you are not using the buffer between slots to wash your dog, clean your car, have a chat or anything. You should be leaving at the time your appointment ends, not after.

The buffer allows time for people to not see each other between appointments as we cater for banned breeds, reactive dogs, nervous dogs, and all dogs.

Poo moan posts again.....

Yet again someone has left their dog s**t over the tunnel bags..

There has also been poo left in EVERY DAY THIS WEEK! I haven't followed up the messages as it was becoming to the point I was messaging all the attendees daily.

We provided poo bags
We have signs up
We check up on you
We provide this venue as somewhere for EVERY dog owner to use

But if you keep being lazy, disgusting and just plain disrespectful I'll start doing spot checks on people.

It's sad but it'll have to start happening.

Just go around at the end of the session, check there's no p**p in the sand and on the equipment. If there is grab a poo bag and pick it up then take it home.
If it's on the equipment then get the water bowl and wash it off.

If you forget a poo for some reason cannot pick it up then please just drop a message.

Also if I catch you smoking in the barn you wil be removed immediately. There are signs and you leaving your faf ends all over the place is not only rude, it's dangerous for the dogs.

Please be adults and respect my venue. If you can't then don't bother booking.
