Ponies galore! 🐎
What an amazing experience - Just over a week ago we visited the stunning area of Connemara in Ireland in the search for our next pony to join our little herd.
The sale of Connemaras at Connemara Pony Sales Clifden is highly regarded and their recent 5 day sale of over 500 ponies took Sams interest.
It really was a great experience, so many beautiful examples of the connemara breed in all shapes, sizes colours and ages, all under one roof. The number of horses, the knowledge and horsemanship of the local Irish breeders and the fast pace of the sale ring was well worth the trip. We would highly recommend a visit for the experience, along with enjoying the stunning unspoilt countryside, local hospitality and fantastic music!

Sadly, even though we bid on several ponies (including several of the top price ponies - oh why does Sam go for the most expensive ones 🙈), we came away empty handed.
But this has been a very worth while experience and even though we may not be adding a connemara to the herd just yet (and watch this space for who is coming to join us...), we did love the breed and who knows what the future holds for Rawlinshaw in the future?!
