I have made a major decision which has not been easy. I have, sadly, decided to stop being a distributor for Simple System feeds. This is purely due to personal circumstances. Therefore, I need to let all my lovely clients know that whatever stock I currently have is the last I shall sell. When it's gone, it's gone.

Consequently, I am having a half price sale on a number of supplements, as follows:

I'm on the lookout for pet/house sitters who would service the S25 area. Sheffield/Worksop. There are chickens, ponies and a goat.....as well as dogs. Does anybody offer this service?

One of the standards we work to is the British Equestrian Trade Association (BETA) NOPS scheme, which aims to substantially reduce the risk of prohibited substances appearing in equine feed. Our accreditation to the scheme assures you that every step of our supply chain has been risk assessed and all products are fully traceable from field to bag.

𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐨𝐜𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐡𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐛𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐍𝐎𝐏𝐒?
In the most basic terms, a Naturally Occurring Prohibited Substance is a substance which may naturally, or by way of accidental contamination, appear in a horse feed product and cause a positive drug test result.

As a participant in the BETA NOPS scheme, we are required to identify potential areas of risk at every level of the production process, for every ingredient that goes into our feeds: from the crop growing in the field right through to the finished bag of feed leaving our premises. A Naturally Occurring Prohibited Substance may be inherent in an ingredient or be introduced accidentally by cross contamination. With this in mind, our procedures and manufacturing processes are carefully developed, regularly audited and our staff undergo rigorous training to ensure strict adherence to the Code.

Compliance with the NOPS Code offers peace of mind that we have done our due diligence in minimising the risk of contamination with NOPS (Naturally Occurring Prohibited Substances).

A deep rooting legume, lucerne offers a wealth of natural vitamins and minerals. Highly digestible fibre and good levels of quality protein support muscle growth and development, improving condition and stamina. Naturally low sugar levels make it a suitable feed for most equines.

Organic Cider Vinegar is one of nature’s superfoods. Not only is it good for the inside of the horse, but it has benefits for the outside, too.

𝐎𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐜 𝐂𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐕𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐠𝐚𝐫 can be made in to a topical solution to spray on the coat. Mix it 50:50 with strong, cold, black tea. You can also add essential oils such as citronella, eucalyptus or tea tree oil with a few drops of washing up liquid to keep them in suspension.

Simple System Organic Cider Vinegar is not only from Soil Association certified organic apple trees, but it still has the “mother” in it, the organisms responsible for its fermentation to vinegar.
