I decided I was going to take some pictures to show how nice the dams are looking. They were a bit wet, as the weather did not follow the forecast as always, but also they were not interested in having pictures taken. They would move away, turn their heads, walk behind one another... The pictures are not good. I'm leaving here just a few of the worst examples, so when I show you the alpacas in the next few weeks, you can think they look really good. Quechua and Aymara are doing really well on their own. Showing an amazing calm nature and growing fast. Beautiful shapes and fleeces. Looking forward to see how they develop.

This is what it looks like when keeping the girls in -every night- does not keep them any cleaner. It's good to see that, even though some of our girls left the farm and we haven't seen more than two crias born in Kestle last season, the youngsters are looking fabulous, strong and healthy. Yes, the coat is not the cleanest, but Aymara is looking stunning and Quechua's coat is pretty impressive....

We did not have much of it since the summer, which was rather wet for a summer. It's not good news today. She fought for days and days. Until the very last second. Even when she was unwell she was sweet, she was tame and looked into your eyes, talking to your soul. Her colour was awesome, her touch was magic. She was so dense and soft! Ivory awakened the curiosity of the judges, so she gave us prices for a wonderful fleece....

We have a very poorly Ivory. She lost weight drastically in 24 hours. She held on during the weekend and yesterday she started to look better. Possible gut infection, she is getting treatment and improving very slowly. She won't be having a baby next year.

Still not over, but we're feeling positive.🤞🏻
