Debbie has torn a ligament in her leg and as such has to rest it for a week. This has come at the worst time of year as she is very busy anyway. If you have an appointment this week she will call you to confirm the cancellation. It is also going to be difficult to re schedule but she will book you in as soon as humanly possible.😁 Thank you for your patience.

Calling all large breed lovers! 🐶

This handsome lad is called Brian, and he's a Mastiff cross who is just 1 year old.

Brian is known to our staff as a big softy - and he certainly fits that description! However, he often forgets the 'big' part and will sometimes jump up to us for affection, which we have been working on during his time with us.

We would love to find Brian new 'paw-rents' who will be happy to continue working on this with him, as, being a typical adolescent, he likes to try to push the boundaries sometimes and is still very much finding his paws in the world.

Since arriving at the centre, we have gotten to know Brian well and although he was quite worried initially, he is now realising what fun it is to go out and make new friends!

He can still be unsure during an initial meeting and he needs his confidence building in some areas of his handling, but, after seeking reassurance from his trusted humans and a few tasty treats, Brian has learnt that his two-legged friends can be just as fun as the four-legged kind.

Brian now has lovely walks and snuggle time with our volunteers who he has formed a bond with, and we just know that, with continued training and socialisation, he will make a wonderful companion.

Once Brian knows you, he soon becomes your new best friend, but it does mean he struggles with being left on his own.

Therefore, he would love to find a home where someone will be around for the majority of the day to help him overcome his anxieties and, in return, they will be rewarded with a loyal companion.

We believe that Brian would be best suited to being the only dog in his new home, so that he can be the sole focus for his new owners.

However, we feel that he would enjoy having regular canine walking buddies, as he loves to roll around and play with his friends at the centre.

Brian may be big but he is rather spritely too and enjoys racing around our paddock here. Therefore, we think he would love to join a family who can take him on lots of new & fun adventures, where he can see and enjoy what the world has to offer.

Due to Brian's size and lively nature, we feel he would be better suited to a home with adults and teenagers, who are used to large, bouncy dogs.
