This is so important to know with socialisation!!

It's not about meeting as many people and dogs as possible which is what I hear all the time

Over socialising with dogs and people can effect your training with recall, loose lead work and also your dogs behaviour out on a walk

If you need any help please get in contact I'm happy to give advice.

What a day! 💒💍
I had the absolute pleasure of seeing this one being the best man, he did his role so well trotting down the aisle with the rings clipped onto his collar 🥹💙

Its amazing being part of anyones special day but seeing him at my puppy classes, watching him grow up, to now posing for photos at his owners wedding being so patient and being an absolute star 🌟 I couldn't be any prouder! 🥹🫶

His gorgeous collar was from BARC London

I highly recommend Cider Mill Barns I have chaperoned a few times there now and yes it's an absolutely stunning venue but the staff go above and beyond, smiling, friendly, and they're so helpful when it comes to the dogs role which keeps everything running as smoothly as possible! The best service.

As you can see after all this he was a very sleepy pup, literally the first thing he did when i unclipped his lead 😂

Spending ½ a day with this handsome boy 💙😍💙

Did some training too, more sessions to come! He's such a lovely boy, he gets very excited, loves learning and I can't wait to see his progress. He's a working dog so providing the right training is so important 🐾🐾

Walks swapped for visits, aka garden play, brain games, chill time, and cuddles. Now it's finally starting to get warmer. I personally love the heat, hotter the better for me ☀️☀️
But not for your dogs even if they enjoy sunbathing... ⬇️⬇️

Your dogs can still get stimulation even if their walk is replaced with a visit. It's not worth the risk when the sun's at its hottest.

ℹ️Feel free to get in touch for fun games, keeping your dog entertained around the house/garden

☀️Early mornings or late evenings for walks on warmer days.

☀️Buy a pool to keep them cool and for play time

☀️Don't risk it! Check the weather before you head out on your afternoon walk, even between 22-24 degrees, a short walk for your dog is at risk of heat stroke.

☀️ Certain breeds like brachycephalic (flat-faced) dogs, (Bulldogs, boxers etc), young/older dogs suffer more.

☀️Think smart

☀️Plan ahead with work if the forecast is going to be hot to ensure your dog gets chance to go to the toilet in the mornings (I know most dogs love going on their walks!)

As a trainer and previous dog owner, keeping your dogs routine flexible will help you in times like these when it's in your dogs best interest not to walk them in this heat

It's good to have flexibility, and then your dog won't be nagging or stressed because it's not getting it daily one o'clock walks.
