Ringo
This dog, has taken months and months to get him to pick up anything from the box, then we've been working tirelessly to get him to then transition to a ball! His handler even sewing his tuggy round each ball by hand!!! πͺ‘𧡠then slowly working on him carrying it further than 3 strides π Last week was the first time he's carried his ball the whole way back!! ππ Well done Ringo π
π₯πΎ TEAM TRAINING WITH ELEMENTS πΎπ₯ Better late than never, a few weekends ago we got the pleasure of training alongside Elements Flyball Team.π₯ We were thrilled to be joined by Donna and her team to train alongside us and really help push some of our dogs. If there are any other clubs that would like to join us for a training session one Saturday please let us know βΊοΈ #flyball #flyballtraining #ukfl #training #scorchinpawz #scorchinpawzflyball #elements #elementsflyball #dog #dogs #team #flyballdog #flyballdogsofinstagram
Next shout out, from the comp last weekend at Cambridgeshire Flyball is for our lovable doodle, Noodle. Its was both Noodle and her handlers first ever competition! At training We've been working on her holding her box turn whilst racing. We knew she wouldn't be phased at all in a competition environment and she proved us all right. She ran her little Paws off all day achieving 2nd place in little league pairs with Ren. Abbie and Millar quickly learnt the competition ropes and it was as if they'd both been there hundreds of times before! We are looking forward to Noddle debuting in a team soon ππ Abs did a fantastic job handling her and Millar was amazing on the box! Even the sun π shone for us all day!! Well done to all 3 of you π
This weekend we went to Cambridgeshire Flyball ukfl event, we always love Cambridgeshires events, and the weather also did not dissapoint!!! First shout out has to go to these 3! Two of our young handlers (Sienna and Jack, who are both only 7yrs old!) and Ren our 3yr old border collie. Both Sienna and Jack have been working hard at training helping to run her and have been doing amazingly well. Ren can be a little bit naughty sometimes chasing ππ our captain is hoping the children taking the reins their will be less pressure on her and she will run better π€π€
So we let them both step up at the competition and have a go running her! And they did not let us down! Sienna was in charge of releasing Ren, she held her all by herself and even got some fab starts! 0.05 and 0.06!! Jack was in charge of calling Ren back to her tuggy! All three of them did so so well! Ren only got a bit chasey once and after a resend, remembered her job! We are all very proud of them, and to top it off Ren and Noddle came away with 2nd place! ππππβ€οΈβ€οΈβ€οΈ
Noodle will have her own separate write up as it was hee first ever competition!!
Next up we have Scrippy, he raced in league singles division 6 at the UK Flyball League Championships in August. Racing his little pawz off and coming 3rd!π₯³π₯³π₯³ After not long joining the team Script could just do everything! Hes been a fantastic dog to train, and
Lives to please! This was his first ever champs competing after coming last year and doing a pc slot and we are sure it certainly won't be his last! He's now going to take a bit of time away from comps to really work on perfecting a nice high and snappy turn. We are really proud of him and his handler and can't wait to see him lining up on the mats in a team! He ran a best time of 3.99 l2l and is only one or two dogs in our club to run sub 4!!! πππ
π₯πΎ UKFL CHAMPIONSHIPS 2024 πΎπ₯Scorchin Pawz are at the UKFL championships 2024 and here is what weβre bringing to the competitionβ¦..
We want to wish Artie a massive happy 7th birthday! π₯³π₯³ We canβt wait to see what you achieve this year π
π LOKI πYesterday marked 1 year since we lost one of our up and coming dogs. Our thoughts are with his handlers on this difficult day ππLoki was one of the quickest learners we have ever trained. He just got flyball and was extremely good at it! Increadibly focused with a lovely box turn. One comp he was competing in a pc slot, then we needed the a dog for the team and he just stepped up an took everything in his stride! He absolutely smashed it! He adored his handlers and would do anything for them ππ the whole team miss Loki ππ
Unfortunately our beloved team dog Maisey went over rainbow bridge this weekend. So our thoughts are with Jen and her family ππMaisey was our height dog and our start dog for our team for many years. Leading us to many divisional wins, including, 1st at the Championships in 2014, and 2nd at the Championships in 2015. She also raced at the European Championships in 2016 where we broke out of our division so unfortunately couldn't be placed. She was an integral part of the team for many many years ππ. Being a spaniel she had her quirks, she would most certainly always poo π© in the Ring, even if she had been toileted beforehand. She loved to work for a tennis ball as she was also a trained sniffer dog, and the tennis ball was her reward πΎ. Run free Maisey, go and enjoy your time with your mum and your team, Jazz, Skye, Hugo, Marley and Ebb πππ
Wishing our Ren a massive belated happy birthday for last week π₯³π #birthday #flyballteam #bordercollie #flyball #flyballdog #team #scorchinpawz
Wishing Bailey a massive happy 3rd birthday today!! π₯³π₯³
π₯πΎ INTRODUCING BEAR πΎπ₯. What can I say about our lovable spaniel Bear π» Hes been training with us since being a pup, and absolutely adores his handler Ellie.... so much so.... he only really likes to work for her ππ luckily Ellie has been doing an absolutely fabulous job with him and he's turning into a great flyball dog! He's also got a bit of a cheeky side and always likes to investigate a new dog and make friends especially if it's a girl ππ He loves his tuggy! Which isn't very common with spaniels, not for the others in our team anyway! We can wait to see him progress further and see his debut hitting the lanes πWe also want to wish him a massive happy 1st birthday today π₯³ #flyball #flyballteam #flyballdog #spaniel #workingcockerspaniel #birthday
