The Cinnamon Trust is a national charity that was set up in 1985 by Mrs Averil Jarvis MBE to help older people and the terminally ill care for their pets. I wasn’t aware of The Cinnamon Trust until a volunteer for their charity brought Bubbles to me for a groom in 2019. His owner was an elderly lady with mobility issues and was housebound. I groomed Bubbles for the next 4 years and in that time he had 2 wonderful volunteers who saw to all his needs from walks, vet visits, going to the groomer, literally anything he needed, showing true compassion and love for this little dog and his owner. I contacted the charity and asked how I could help support them. The Groomery in Leamington now has a collection tin and leaflets for anyone wanting to find out more and I hope to raise awareness of this super charity that allows people and their pets to stay together. So please, if you feel you can make a donation either directly to the charity or in the collection tin that would be amazing, alternatively you may like to help through volunteering.
