I've been meaning to update you all on Mo and his tumour.
Well........
Mo's tumour ruptured a few weeks ago, so I took him back to the vets to see if they would do anything.
As the tumour was 75% exposed, they decided to operate. I was so excited for him as he was so fed up with having a golf ball stuck under his chin.

Well OMG it worked. He made it through the op and is now fully healed and signed off. He's now running around like nothing happened. If it wasn't for the scar under his chin, you wouldn't know.

He is such a trooper and it was well worth every penny spent at the vets to see him happy again 🥰🥰

Finally managing to get stronger and more permanent fencing for the boys runs. Should be complete next Monday.
I'm also looking into some new rain shelter pod things.

Beautiful 😍

It is official we are now guinea pig slaves 😊

The boys have been after some pets for ages and today we collected this gorgeous pair ❤️

A beautiful Boar bonding at the weekend. It was obviously ment to be. The visiting piggy (gray) is called Moon 🌙 The piggy they adopted to be his new friend (black and ginger) is called sunny 🌞

Amazing to think 7 years ago, this little guy was my first rescue. He was 10 months old, underweight. Covering in lice. Fed bird seed. In a tiny hamster cage. No hay in sight.

Now I have over 200 residents and have helped thousands of guinea pigs find new furever homes or enjoy their retirement.

How things have changed and how much I have learnt about both guineas and people.

I just wanted to say a massive thank you to my volunteers and everyone who has supported me over the years. I couldn't have done it without any of you. I love you all so much. 💓

Mo Update.

Mo has been to the vets to get all checked out again.
The vet is concerned that due to his age he may not make the operation to remove his tumour.
So after investigation to make sure it's not just a cyst (it's not 😒) wish it was. We have agreed to keep him comfortable and pain free.

As he is still a chunk, eating and drinking well and still has a cheeky attitude. I would hate to loose him during an op.

Thank you guys so much for your donations. These have been put towards Mo's vet bills and meds. As he will be on painkillers from now on and checked up on at the vets regularly.

I need your help 😢 🙏🙏

Mo is a long term resident here and has a golf ball side tumour under his chin.
It out of my expertise and he needs an operation to remove it.

Luckily it isn't bothering him and hasn't restricting his breathing or eating.

Please please help me raise the funds for his operation as funds are tight atm. I'm only just covering feed cost. So there is no reserve in their bank for this op. I think he will need aboit £1000

Emergency call out to day for me and the side kick. We went down to the Oxford area to collect 4 boys.
1 adult (dad) and 3, 6 month old (sons)
The black boy (mars) has a severe wound in his groin area from his dad that happened yesterday.
It's a huge wound and no vets in the area would treat him.
When I got there, they all look well cared for and apart from this wound they are perfectly healthy.
Since getting home I have had a proper look and given it a good clean. He's now on pain killers and antibiotics. I'm hoping it will heal without the need to bandage as it's right in the crease. But I will see how it goes.
He is eating and drinking ect perfectly fine. Please send him healing wishes.

Don't worry I won't be adding a picture of it.

After a nervous 24 hours. This is a beautiful sight. All 3 babies are doing well.
They are lovely and warm with little round belly's.
Mummy has got this. Phew.

This morning 4 tiny babies were born to a very young mum.
1 didn't make.
1 has had its toes eaten.
1 has an extra toe.
All are weak and wobbly.
This is the result of "accidental" inbreeding.

I'm hoping mum is going to start suckling them. But for now I'm give her and the babies extra support. Fingers crossed they will survive.

Lots of extra rich food for mum.
And extra milk from babies until I know they are feeding from mum.
