2 VERY special little ladies today.

Mother and daughter skinny pigs.

These ladies will only accept 10⭐️ accommodation, INDOORS only.

Snowflake is 2 years old (white pig)
Heeby is 3 years old (black pig)

Skinny pigs are harder work than normal pigs. They need more food and more cleaning out as a result.

STRICKLY NOT FOR BREEDING. This will be added onto the standard adoption form for you to sign.

More plants for the piggy shed. It will be looking like a jungle soon.

All in the name of happy comfortable piggies.

I have really noticed the difference in the air quality with the plants that are already in the shed.

Batten down the hatches, well hutches in guinea pig world.

PLEASE PLEASE bring your animals indoor. Don't take it for granted that your hutch will stay upright in this weather.
It must be so scary for animals out in this weather, not understanding what's happening.

If you don't want to be out in it, then why should they be.

There is always a solution and a way to accommodate them indoor for a few days

We urge the Government to revise guinea-pig quarantine from non-EU countries, reducing it from 4 months to 1 due to low rabies risk. We also request indoor facilities with proper hideaways to ensure their comfort and well-being, as current conditions can cause stress and health issues.

These piggies are becoming posh piggies. We are delving into are purifying plants for the piggy shed now. 😄
So far, 3 ivy plants, 3 peace lily's, 3 Flamingo lily's and I'm waiting for 2 parlour palms.
All are recommended for helping remove ammonia from the air. Which is inevitable if you have 1 piggy or 200.

Obviously the plants won't be placed in reach of any GP's.

Can you beleave my surrender waiting list is the longest it's ever been! There are currently about 40 piggies waiting to come and live here. All boys.
I'm full to capacity on the boys'
side with around 150 boys currently resident.
If anyone is considering adopting some guinea pigs and would be willing to have boys please please get in touch.
I have so many people in sad situations that need to rehome their piggies, I hate having to put them on a waiting list, and I get stressed at how long they are having to wait, then I start worrying about where the piggies will end up if I don't get a space quick enough, as I evident by the 4 GPs that we're abandoned in woods and parks.

What on earth is going on?
These 2 were found in a cardboard box in a wood by a dog walker last weekend.

Today, I've just had a phone call, and someone is on the way to drop off 2 more piggies that he found in a plastic box at the park.
Poor piggies are cold and hungry.

2 things.

First, I would like yo say a massive thank you to those who drop their vegetable scraps and left over at the doorstep for all the guinea pig residents here at PuddleDucks Guinea Pig Rescue (200 currently)

Secondly, I'm looking forward and starting to get ready for a few fundraising events next year. We are hoping to be able to have a tombola on the stand. So if anyone is having a clear out and would like to donate item that a suitable for a tombola prize, then you are either welcome to drop it of at 13 southway, CV31 2PG or drop me a facebook message via my page and I can come and collect.
Also, if anyone have a raffle ticket drum they would like to donate, that would also be amazing.

Again, thank you so so much for the support the community gives the rescue. It all helps so much.
