Yesterday I transported a 3kg Pomeranian who had been run over by a double-decker bus! With multiple fractures, internal bleeding and respiratory failure it was a time-critical journey with a vet and vet nurse on board πŸš‘

This morning I was called to help an elderly gentleman who said his cat had injured her leg, and was probably broken. He did not drive and was desperate to get to the vet asap. I arrived within 30 minutes of the call. The cat was calm but unable to move properly. Upon closer inspection, as I lifted her gently into the carrier, the β€œinjury” became visible. Her forelimb was trapped in her collar! Her long coat had hidden the cause of the lameness. I removed the collar and both cat and owner were visibly relieved! No emergency trip to the vet needed. 🐈

This is why I love what I do. Every day is different and so rewarding! 🐾

Today I had the pleasure of chaperoning two budgies to see the specialist avian vet. So interesting when I get to attend the consultation for the exotic pets.

πŸš‘ 🐾 Ten years ago I walked away from a secure and well paid job as a College Lecturer. Lots of factors contributed to my decision to leave but it was absolutely the only (and best) thing I could’ve done, given the circumstances. On 13th March 2015, I carried out my first job as a self-employed sole-trader. The last ten years have been a thrilling and exciting rollercoaster. IT WAS THE BEST DECISION I HAVE EVER MADE! I love what I do and I am so proud of how my little business has evolved and grown. Every day is different and I get to meet so many kind and like-minded people. Here’s to the next ten years! πŸ₯‚

🐾 It was a pleasure to accompany Inca to the vet today. Her elderly owner was really worried about her loss of appetite so arranged an emergency appointment, but needed my help to take her to the vet. Thankfully she was given the all-clear after a thorough examination. πŸš‘ πŸ•β€πŸ¦Ί
