March EU Hamm show run

We have once again teamed up with S&D's Critter Company 😊

We will be attending the HAMM show in Germany on Saturday 9th March 🐍

We will be able to collect and take out to Europe along with bringing back animals from Europe.

For Cites animals we will only be bringing Cites animals back from the show and you must ensure your EU Seller has their CITES paperwork in order so you or us can apply for yours. This will take 4-6 weeks so to have it ready in time your must be applying for it ASAP.

Any animals coming back from the EU now also need a health certificate, please ask us for more information.

We will be delivering directly to your doors, no meeting at certain destinations, a direct service from the show to yourselves 😁 and where possible we can also move equipment and racks ☺️

With the current horror stories we are hearing about some couriers in the uk we wanted to give people some reassurance with ourselves ☺️

A little background, the owner of the company has been running courier companies for over 15 years now and started off himself driving and working along side another courier and knows what it takes to not only be a driver but actually deal with planning routes and making sure the best care is given to animals from the moment they are collected to the moment they are delivered. With this in mind the company has been built up employing only the most suitable drivers and staff to make sure everyone is fully capable of the job at hand. All staff are trained thoroughly and know to well what’s involved in making sure your animals are given the best possible while in our care. We have evolved over the years and now with the ability to collect and deliver under 48hours (72 in hard to reach areas) this means your animals spend the minimal amount of time in transport possible while still being a viable company.

Are we the cheapest no we are not but when you’re dealing with live animals it’s not about cost it’s about the service which we can confidently say cannot be beaten, we have 6 that’s right 6 vans all fully kitted out to various levels depending on there purpose but all vans are fully heated and equipped with the most upto date and suitable heating systems. We have 3 main vans that are designed for long distance and overnight etc and then 3 that we call day runners and the back up vans just incase the inevitable happens and it can so we are always prepared. We don’t and won’t use the excuse the vans broken down we will have to replan… this simply doesn’t happen. We can have a new van with a driver within 4 hours anywhere in the country so at worst we maybe delayed by a few hours… far better than days/weeks and not knowing what’s going on that’s for sure….

Another massive difference between ourselves and others you are ALWAYS kept informed with what’s going on, we are running late you will be informed, we are running early you will be informed (and we will wait till your slot if you can’t be there early) we have broken down you will be informed and always kept updated. Something customers should also understand if we are running late for whatever reason (mainly traffic) we are just as frustrated as you, we all hate being late as if we are late we are working longer hours… nobody wants to be doing that do they 🤷🏼‍♂️

Anyway the biggest thing is we are fully licensed and regulated and as the picture shows below we are yet again fully licensed with flying colours after our vans where inspected a few weeks ago and have now been issued yet another 5 year type 2 (over 8 hours) transport authorisation 💪

So if anything rest assured ridgeway courier is a serious company that cares about your animals and we are always here for any questions and concerns 😁

Driver position available

Due to ever increasing workloads we are looking for another full time driver preferably someone based north of Birmingham 😊

You need to be over 30 have a full U.K. driving licence that you have held for over 3 years with no more than 3 points, be very hard working and be confident to handle a range of reptile species for health checks. This job is not for the faint hearted as it is very hard work but you get to meet lots of different people and see lots of different animals. We need someone that is reliable and trustworthy. You must be fully flexible as working days include overnights, evenings and weekends, our runs go over 2-3 weeks with time off in between runs.

Wages are £22-28k per annum experience and hours dependant.
