It was an absolute honour to be asked to chaperone this gorgeous boy to be involved in his daddies wedding pictures today, he was the star of the show (rightly so 😂)but was so well behaved from start to finish.
We've had our tea and our evening walk now its time to have a brew and chill before his grandma comes to take over later tonight

I've got the pleasure of walking this gorgeous boy on an ad hoc term,for the next few days, early morning, lunchtime and evening walks. He is staying with his grandma whilst his daddies are flying to Rome to get married.
Ive walked him a few times for us to get to know each other and I can say we have hit it off big time, he's such a big bouncy cuddle love bug that just loves to please who ever is walking him 💚🥰💚

Another set of little legs has joined the Gingers pack today, he's certainly a character and half. He was so good on our first walk today and enjoyed a good sniffy walk saying hello to a few people walking past. So I've been walking this big fella for a few months now, he's such a sweetheart that takes everything in his stride. We are not quite upto full time walks yet due to his ailments but he's getting closer with every walk we do. He loves nothing more than a good sniffy walk and according to his mum he recognises the top of my head when I walk past the bushes to collect him so he ends up being a giddy kipper 😁. Super proud of you big fella we will be walking the full hour before you know it 🥰

❌ RAPESEED! ❌

It’s that time of year again where farmers fields have blossomed into pretty yellow flowers, these plants are called rapeseed. Although it may be tempting to place your dog in the mist to take a scenic photo, please avoid this at all costs!

Rapeseed is extremely poisonous for dogs, especially in highly sensitive canines.

Rapeseed is listed by Dogs Trust as toxic to our dogs if ingested and can cause symptoms such as:

❌ Hemolytic Anemia
❌ Blindness
❌ Damaged Nervous System
❌ Digestive Disorders
❌ Breathing Problems

Even walking through these fields should be avoided! In June 2019, a dog has been reported to suffer from severe open wounds after running through a crop of rapeseed.

Please seek immediate veterinary attention if your dog shows any signs of rapeseed poisoning!

I often get asked how many dogs I have whilst I'm on my walking round, the answer is five. All misfits with their own personalities ranging from a grumpy little legs to a sofa surfing long legs, one that whips you with his tail, one that just loves all the attention and doesn't know what personal space is (staffy 😂) and the baby of the pack who is the gobbiest of them all and likes to lick my leather sofas 😏but I wouldn't be without any of them even though they do drive me bonkers. So this how this gorgeous girl greets me now, after months gaining her trust I can finally say that she trusts me 100% now. She still has her no go areas and I respect them 100% and I will not cross those boundaries at all Happy happy aunty Gem 😍😁💚🐕‍🦺

I've been doing temporary walks for this handsome dude while his dad recovers from his operation but I'm pleased to say that he will be a regular to the Gingers pack, welcome aboard big fella we are going to have so much fun 😁

When you get sent pictures like this. Looks like donut is coming with us today and yup donut came with us 😍😍

Since I started Gingers up I have to say that my biggest achievement so far is gaining the trust and building up a strong bond with this gorgeous girl. We have gone from myself sat in the cold in the garden and her inside growling and snarling teeth showing, giving her a treat with oven gloves on as I value my fingers too much even though she still had a nibble now and again 😂, I was ready to give up so many times as I thought it could be done in a few weeks to which it taught me a lesson which is patience is the key. We are now at a stage where I can give her treats without the gloves on and she takes them so gently from my hand, we now go out on walks with her slip lead on as she feels more comfortable with that than me trying to clip her lead on her collar. I get the most fantastic display of tap dancing and brilliant butt wiggles now when I open the door. She still has her boundaries and I will not cross them at all. Oh and if she has her donut on her walks or near her she is a happy girl. A happy pooch is a happy aunty Gem,its been a long road to get this far and no doubt we still have a long way to go but I'm happy to have got this far 😁😁
