Yorkshire Sharpening offers a mobile, postal or drop off professional sharpening service of clipper blades, knives and scissors. We supply new and refurbished equipment.

(Clipper servicing isn’t available on the mobile service)

❗️Sharp blades will:
✅Improve performance
✅Less strain on the clippers
✅Leaves a better finish
✅Sharp blades won’t pull your horses coat

Why should you get your clippers serviced?

During a clipper service the following happens:
✅Test for power and inspect the cable
✅Check the case for any damages
✅Remove the parts from the head and inspect all parts
✅Strip down the main body and check the motor and PCB board
✅Remove any build up of hair and clean the clippers
✅Change any parts that require replacing
✅Re-assemble the clippers and grease the parts that require greasing
✅Test the clipper
✅PAT Test

We do recommend having your clippers serviced at least once a year depending on how much you use them

This Saturday, 16th November, Yorkshire Sharpening & Supplies Ltd will be on site for all your clipper blade sharpening requirements. From 10am to 2pm.

✂️🐴 We are at Peckfield Farm Produce this Saturday 16th November for your sharpening requirements.

We are there 10am -2pm.
No need to book an appointment just turn up for your blades sharpening and have a browse round the shop.

Horse blades and wide A5 blades are £8
Narrow A5 blades are £7 per set

Clipper servicing available but will be taken back to our workshop and returned when done.
Current turnaround is approximately 7-10 days for a service.

🧼 🐴 After each clip it is advised that you clean your blades and clipper head out.
Take your blades off, give them a clean down and oil them ready for next time.
With a brush clean out the clipper head as much as you can.

❗️Also make sure the air filter is clean. This should be keeps free of hair whilst clipping as well.
