Anyone interested in learning dog first aid should check this out!

We are pleased to announce that we will be running a Canine First Aid course presented by Jane from Dog First Aid South Yorkshire
Whether you are a dog professional or just someone who has a dog as a pet, we feel like this is a valuable course to take part in. It’s valid for three years after completion, with a certificate as well as a handout to refer to.
Aimed at everyone, the presentation by Jane is first class, we should know as we used Jane for our certification

The event will be run at our facility in Wakefield, just off of junction 40 of the M1. For more information please get in contact with us

🚩 Cancellations & Timekeeping
I am a self-employed, solo dog groomer so any late cancellations and no-shows have a huge impact on my income and time. Please let me know if you can’t come to your appointment or need to change it.

To secure an appointment you will have to pay a 50% non-refundable deposit.
If you don’t show up to your appointment, you will lose your deposit and have to pay the outstanding balance for the missed appointment slot. You will then need to pay upfront in full for all new appointments.

If you need to cancel your appointment, please give me a minimum of 24hrs notice, if not, you will lose your deposit and this will not be carried over to any future appointments. (Certain exceptions do apply.)

I work one-to-one by specific time slots only, so please stick to your appointment times.
If you’re early, I may not be able to see you immediately so please be patient. If you’re more than 15 minutes late I may not have time to complete the groom, in which case you’d have to reschedule and lose your 50% deposit.

If you are late collecting your dog, this will impact the rest of my appointments so I may have to charge a late collection fee.

🚩 Health and De-Matting Policy
Please let me know if your dog has any current or previous health conditions or allergies.

I work to the motto ‘Humanity over Vanity’, which means matted dogs will be clipped short. This might not look the best but it’s the kindest option and vital for their health. This will incur extra charges.

I’m happy to show you brushing techniques and put a schedule in place to stop this happening in future.
If your dog comes to me matted on multiple occasions, I will no longer book you in- it’s unfair on myself and your dog as it’s a stressful and completely preventable situation!

If I come across any problems during the groom, I will let you know so you can speak to a vet for advice and treatment.
I will not be held responsible for any pre-existing conditions or problems found.
Matted coats especially can hide lots of problems and during dematting, there is an increased chance of skin irritation, clipper burns, nicks and abrasions. This is NOT due to negligence from the groomer but rather a sign of the dog’s coat condition before the groom. On rare occasion that this occurs, you may need to seek veterinary advice following the groom and you will be liable for the full cost of any treatment.

If your dog has fleas or ticks, you will need to reschedule your appointment once the problem is under control. If fleas are found, I will continue the groom and you will charged an additional £15.
If ticks are found an additional charge of £5 will be added for their removal.

🚩 Behaviour
Please let me know if your dog is aggressive, nervous or has any other behavioural issues. This doesn’t mean you won’t get an appointment, but allows me to cater the grooming session for your dog’s and my own well-being and safety.

I may need to stop the groom at any point if there is a risk of injury to either the dog or myself due to the dog becoming stressed/reactive by any part of the grooming process.

If your dog should bite, you agree to be responsible for any and all related medical bills, recovery costs, loss of income and equipment damage.

🚩 Photographs
I may take photos/videos of the dogs that I groom to use on my social media and other marketing.

🚩 Privacy Policy
I will hold some information about you, (contact details, details about your pet, etc). I will never share any of your details with anyone else without your prior consent. I will never contact you without your prior consent unless it is regarding an appointment time or booking an appointment.

🚩 Payment and Pricing
All prices provided are as an estimate only and additional charges may be incurred for extra time/products involved when grooming.

I accept payment by cash or bank transfer.

Thank you to all my lovely customers, new and old, for making 2022 such a special year! As many of you already know I reduced my office job hours earlier this year so I have more time to pursue my dream of being a professional dog groomer.

When I first started out 2 years ago, I set my prices at a reduced rate due to training while building my portfolio. I have gained a lot of confidence, experience and skills since then, so I’ve made the decision to review my prices for 2023.

This doesn’t affect all appointments but please get in touch if you have any questions! Any price changes will be confirmed when making your next booking.
