Wild Paw

Wild Paw A friendly and reliable dog walking and pet services in Roundhay, Alwoodley and surrounding areas. Hi, my name is Kamila.

I am a happy wife and mum of two daughters. We have a rabbit called Sunny and a rescue dog called Lucky. I've always enjoyed being around dogs so working with them makes me really happy. Each and every dog that I meet is extremely special to me and treated as if they are my own. I love getting to know all their personalities and quirks in order to give them the care they deserve. I can't wait to meet you and your furry friend!

Our group walks aren't just about exploring new paths, playing sniffing games, or posing for photos. They're also (and perhaps above all!) about observing your dog's behaviour, understanding it, and finding the best solutions to support them. All of this is done to ensure that each dog feels cared for, safe, loved, and understood. I'm grateful to all my customers who are willing to listen and talk. I believe this is the best way to provide every dog possibly the best life.

As many of you know, we don't use any toys on our walks. Instead, we focus on what dogs like to do best: exploring new paths and
discovering new smells.

That's why we love visiting different places to keep all my dogs entertained. They never know where we park (sometimes I don't know either), but they know me well enough to know it won't be the same place we were yesterday.

Hetchell Woods and Otley Chevin are definitely our favourites. Share yours! If we haven't been there yet, we'll add it to our list.

A short message to all my customers:

Thank you for all your support. For every walk you've booked with me. For every kind message you've sent to me. For every smile when you see me at the door. All these small things really mean a lot!

I would also say thank you to all my followers. It may seem like it's just a small group of people, but every time you like my post or share it with your family and friends, it really makes me happy. Thank you.

Today, we celebrated rescue dog day. I met many rescue dogs in my life, including my own dog. Some of them are reactive or anxious. Some of them love people but want to keep a distance from other dogs. They are all different, but what unites them is gratitude. Gratitude that someone gave them a second chance or sometimes even a third in their such a short life.

Every dog deserves love, no matter what they look like.

We've completely the first day of our 24 Peaks Challenge - Lake District. We are doing this with our Lucky, so we are planning to do the second day next weekend, so his little legs get some rest.

The paths were mainly quite difficult, but the views were absolutely amazing! That was the hardest experience in my life so far, but I don't regret a single minute, despite all this pain.

Chilled vibes from the Friday team - soaking up the sunshine and enjoying the moment.

I would also like to let you know that I've received my certificate for Canine Communication today. A brilliant course and the feedback from the International School for Canine Psychology and Behaviour made me even happier than I was.

Thank you to all my amazing dogs that I could observe and learn from them. Thanks to you all, some things were easier for me to understand, but of course, it's not the end of my learning!

The feedback from the ISCP:

"This submission shows a deep respect for dogs and a solid understanding of their communication needs. You clearly value trust, empathy and mutual understanding which are core principles in positive behaviour work. Your reflections on eye contact, barking, sniffing and social awareness are well observed. You explain complex ideas like behaviour synchronisation and olfactory enrichment in a way that feels both informed and heartfelt, showing that you not only understand dogs intellectually but also connect with them emotionally."

Happy weekend everyone 😊

Some photos from our last walks. I love watching how some dogs synchronize their behaviors while playing. I'm sure it helps them to build their social interactions and strengthens their bonds in the pack.

We already had plenty of high spirits with wild agility, practise, and sniffing games. Spring brought us so many lovely scents!

Yesterday we completed The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge with my husband and Lucky. Without a doubt it was our hardest hiking to date but we are still married 😂We have never done so well signed posted route in our life, so that means we have done more miles than we planned and today we barely can walk. If you are planning to do The Yorkshire Three Peaks for the first time, please feel free to contact me so I can share with you the route if you want to save additional steps. We are so proud of our Lucky who was amazing for the whole hike. He will have a lot to tell his friends next week ❤️

Collect moments, not things. This is exactly what we love to do. That's why we went to Otley Chevin this morning to make some memories that will last forever.

Otley Chevin is one of mine and my crew favourite places to walk. We love the views and different paths. Especially Louie loves to discover new paths there.

If you love Otley Chevin the same as us, feel free to share some photos in the comments.
