I have just been scrolling through some of my dog show pictures. In particular Crufts. In 2015 (my first Crufts) I had no idea what to wear. So I decided to wear something smart, coordinated and colour contrast to my dogs. Smart and sensible shoes in the same colour combination. I have always thought of myself as a trend setter although it has taken some time for this fashion to catch on. I wore another skirt suit this year. The funny thing is one of the memorable comments of my outfit 9 years ago was “oh were you the lady in the white wedding suit? I actually felt very embarrassed and rather silly. Now everyone is wearing skirt suits to dog shows 🤣🤣

I love it when the families who have homed my puppies send updates. This is Derdledash Thunderball almost 8 months old before and after his first hair do. So handsome and Molly’s brother (I should have kept him 🤣)

So today was the first meeting of the Derdledash Doggy Doo Doo Club at Tockwith Dog Park. 6 WHD's Captain, Betty, Gretel, Alfie, Heidi, Liesl and the honorary dachshund Bess the border terrier. There were 4 adults as well!

Guess who? Yes it’s Betty and Betty being Betty nothing is simple…..vet visit for annual booster, simple…….NO. We walk into the entrance vestibule and she squats down and p**ps despite having been at home! Pick it up and go into the waiting room where she barks non stop. Room full of people and other dogs! Then she squats and manages to produce more p**p all the time grinning as she does when she knows she is being naughty 🤣. At least the vet was happy with her saying “she is so cute, just look at that waggy tail and isn’t she quiet”. Betty just wanted her biscuit. I need to go in disguise next time 🤣🤣

I have been bursting to post this. Amy has been to Ireland with her 3 and had the most amazing time. Doesnt she look happy. So pleased that as a breeder and friend i had a small part to play. Below is her report

"Well what a weekend over the pond in the ever so lovley Belfast.
All three girls came with us to Belfast Championship show and Ulster Dachshund Club show.

Guess where we went today? It's not raining and everyone needed a run. Yes the dog park. I seriously think Betty's brain is wired differently to the others, I say no more 🤣🤣

Well what a holiday. Sunshine all the time until the afternoon of our last day. Lots of walks fun on the beach and wildlife. Those that we were able to identify of the unusual included a goshawk, heron, egrets, shrew (unfortunately deceased) and eider duck. Also quite a few boats including a catamaran, the harvest moon and lots of other dogs. Must bring my better camera next time 🤣

The weather is still amazing here on the Cumbrian Coast. Just having a sit down after our morning walk before heading back for lunch
