Tropical World at Roundhay Park is one of West Yorkshire’s most popular family attractions neighbouring Leeds' beauty spot Roundhay Park. Our zoo offers a unique opportunity to explore the habitats of the tropics and other hot places from around the world whilst only venturing as far as Leeds! The attraction includes jungle, desert, mangroves and aquatic habitats with plants and animals such as cr

ocodiles, butterflies, snakes and a gorgeous family of meerkats! Cold drinks and ice lollies are available to buy if you need to cool off or you can pop along to the Tropical World Café for teas, coffees, cakes or lunch.

Our Spooky Skeleton Safari officially begins tomorrow 👻

With Tropical World decorated for Halloween come and explore our indoor zoo over the October half term 🎃

Uncover a host of spooky animal skeletons hidden in our mangroves, rainforest and enclosures, and discover interesting facts as you take part in our trail.

Our animal team will be giving keeper talks at 2pm daily in the Activity Room, with children's crafts to keep the little ones busy.
Our shop will feature a host of scary spiders and snakes, as well as more cuddly toys, books and games 🐍

Halloween treats and warming drinks will be on offer in the Tropical World Café and the Tropical Lookout will have freshly made stone baked pizzas – weather permitting 🍕

This October half term our animal team will be giving keeper talks daily, at 2pm, in the Activity Room.

While you're here, join in with children's crafts or pick up a creepy friend from the shop.

After working up a thirst trekking through rainforest and desert make the most of your family day out by stopping off at the café for refreshments. The stylish conservatory overlooks the beautiful Canal Gardens. There is plenty of seating both inside and out for those warmer days!
