We could never say thank you enough to our fantastic volunteers. We’re so grateful for their invaluable contribution to our charity ❤️
Lynne has been volunteering at our Sherwood charity shop for a little over a year now, dedicating some of her time every single week to our cause. Prior to joining our team, Lynne had been a charity shop manager for ten years, so she knows just how important volunteers are to a shop!
Lynne said: “I only lasted eight weeks of retirement before I wanted to give my time to help raise money for a great cause. I love volunteering at PDSA because every day is different and the great atmosphere makes it a joy to work and shop in.
“Volunteering is enjoyable, sociable and you get to develop new skills. You also get a sense of satisfaction when you are raising money and get to see where it goes and who it helps. To anyone thinking of volunteering, I'd highly recommend it if you have a few hours to spare. Trust me, there is never a dull moment.”
