The Canine Place Dog Training in Leeds, West Yorkshire Offering Puppy Classes, 1-2-1 training sessions, Workshops and dog training events.

Specialising in helping owners start their puppies off in the right way and supporting them through puppy hood and adolescence. Using only science based and kind methods we pride ourselves on being friendly, supportive and effective. We offer scentwork, Dog parkour and 1-2-1 sessions that are priced to allow you to have ongoing training at times to suit you. We are happy to work with the whole fam

This gorgeous boy wins the award for “Most soppy, cuddly pup” - he is just a sweetheart ❤️
However he is also a teenager which comes with things like disappearing recall, running over to all the dogs and not listening to mum.
His first session was all about engagement as a foundation and he did really well
Looking forward seeing him in a couple of weeks to build on it 😊

Before Christmas I met Rudey and Betty (puppy)
Rudey is mature lady who has been used to a quieter way of life so understandably she wasn’t thrilled with this new energetic upstart disturbing the peace!
She made her displeasure clear by snapping and snarling which could have scared Betty and led to further problems down the line.

We started by putting some management and safety precautions in place and then looked at some easier locations for supervised interactions. Their family have put in the work and taken things slowly but this photo below says it all… so pleased that we could get them to this point fairly quickly.

We also highlighted that Rudey may be suffering from some pain in her joints now she is older. A quick visit to the vets and some pain relief means she is able to be a lot more tolerant of her younger sister.

Introducing a new puppy to older dogs doesn’t always go smoothly so getting some help and advice is a good idea.

Just love Trail Hunt International ❤️ This gorgeous boy is in the thick of his Teenage phase which means he can be over excited by things in the environment. Giving him a job where he can use his sniffing super power is a great way to increase focus in those distracting environments. It’s easy, fun and a bit addictive for dogs and owners! #scentworkleeds

Our Story

I am a small friendly business based in Huddersfield offering various dog walking services. I have had years of experience handling and owning dogs of different breeds and pride myself on being calm and positive at all times. Any training that needs to be done to settle them into the group walks will be done with rewards and praise. I also offer 1-2-1 training for puppies and their new families - this focuses on the first couple of months your puppy joins your family and helps with things like mouthing, house training, crate training, chewing, brain games and socialisation. Every dog and owner are different so feel free to call or message me to have a chat about what help you need.
