I was delighted when Smudge won the Olympian Class for Durham County, realising after a quick double check of his GCCF record that this made him up to Olympian Bronze - catching his brother Sherlock up a bit. Then both he and Sherlock won their Best of Colour classes in Durham County and Smudge in Northern Counties too. In the running for Best in Show Non-Pedigree Household Pet"

Unfortunately we are currently unable to source any more blister pack recycling boxes from our supplier. We are hoping that this will be a temporary issue, but as a result we are not able to accept any further blister pack returns until further notice. Sorry!!

As part of our drive to be more sustainable, we have a bin on reception for recycling EMPTY blister packs when your pet’s course of tablets has finished. 🗑 Please bring these along at your next appointment.

We can of course also dispose of unused veterinary medications safely, please leave these with reception. 💊

We all know that we should be reducing antibiotic usage, but did you also know that it is important to dispose of unused antibiotics correctly? As part of antibiotic awareness week this week, we will be having an 'antibiotic amnesty'. There will be a box available in reception for you to dispose of any unused veterinary antibiotics (or other veterinary drugs). Not only can you do your bit for the environment, but also clear out some space in your cupboards at home!

🐱Osteoarthritis (OA) can be found in almost 40% of cats showing clinical signs. OA is often dismissed in our feline patients with only 13% of affected cats being diagnosed. 🏥 we run senior health clinics at our practice if your are concerned that your fury friend is suffering with OA. We can sit with you and discuss treatment options and how we diagnose OA.

Puppy parties🎉🐾 We host puppy parties every 2-4 weeks depending on interest. Puppy parties are great for socialisation & letting your pups leave the vets with a positive experience. Our nurse that leads the puppy parties discusses points regarding preventative health care (flea and worm treatment, teeth brushing, desensitisation techniques and all round safety for your new pups) we also answer any questions or worries you may have. All the puppies are patients of ours so we are able to see their vaccination status before being invited. If you’re interested in being invited please give us a call on 01943 873147.

Our Story

White Cross Vets Guiseley is a caring local vets practice serving the communities of Guiseley, Baildon, Menston, Burley-in-Wharfedale, Otley, Yeadon, Rawdon, Horsforth, Bradford, Esholt and Ilkley.

Our team is highly trained and experienced in caring for dogs, cats, rabbits and other small pets. Onsite we have facilities including operating theatre, digital x-ray, blood pressure monitor, in-house laboratory and separate dog and cat wards. The surgery has been designed to be comfortable for pets and reduce stress levels.

Our practice is located on the roundabout on Bradford Road just near the Wetherby Whaler fish and chip restaurant and has plenty of free parking directly outside the practice. Please call us with any concerns about your pets.
