Domino
Say Hello to Domino
Please also meet Domino, another rescue found on Friday. This poor girl was apparently trying to get into someone’s house, and it’s heartbreaking to think she might have been their cat. Over the past 15 years, I’ve taken in many cats and kittens from this same family. They claimed Domino just showed up at their door and wouldn’t leave.
When we arrived to collect her, Domino had no fight left in her. She was so subdued, she didn’t react to meeting me or being handled; it was as though she had completely given up 💔.
But since Friday, we’ve already seen glimmers of hope. Domino has been eating, using her litter tray, and even playing! She’s receiving all the love, care, and food she needs to regain her strength.
Unfortunately, like many others, she is unspayed, so we don’t yet know if she could be pregnant—but we hope not. This beautiful girl is now safe, and her life is only going to get better from here.
A huge thank you to Tamara for coming with me to collect Domino and for taking her into foster care.
Suckling babies
Cuteness’s overload, Volume up. A kindle of suckling kittens all happy and very content 😻🥰🐾 x
“Thank God for the amazing fosterers! This poor girl is only a baby herself, but she’s now safe in temporary foster care. Sadly, one of her newborn kittens has already passed away. With everything crossed, now that mum cat is safe, warm, and has a full belly, we hope she and her babies will thrive. A huge thank you to Tamara for offering these beauties an emergency safe space. If anyone is able to long-term foster, please drop me a message.”
Minxy is now ready to find her forever family! 🖤 She is a very shy and timid girl at first, but once she feels comfortable around you, she’ll shower you with all the love in the world. Minxy is around 3 years old, but she’s so small that when she first came to us, I thought she was under a year old. Unfortunately, Minxy wasn’t spayed when she was rehomed to Dewsbury from LS11, and it turns out she had kittens in the past. She eventually ended up alone, scared, and hungry on the busy streets of Armley. When she was taken to the vets, it was discovered she was chipped. The vet contacted her owners, only to be told they didn’t want her back. The finder then told the vet they planned to dump her in Armley Park, and shockingly, the vet still sent her away. Thankfully, Minxy had a guardian angel who was in the vets that day and she reached out to us. 💔
Minxy won’t have any more babies as she is now spayed, and she certainly isn’t hungry anymore. She’s put on some nice weight since being with us. In the video, you can see Minxy playing hard to get with the resident cat, Sox, but she actually likes him really! With proper introductions, she would likely be fine with a laid-back resident cat. Because of her timid nature, she wouldn’t be suited for a home with small children. She has also shown no interest in going outside, so she would probably do well as an indoor cat. More videos in comments 🖤
If you can offer Minxy her forever home, please drop me a message. A home check and adoption fee will apply.
🧡 Mittens 🧡
Mittens is so cute. He’s doing amazing in foster care. He’s even becoming friends with one of the resident cats. Although when he isn’t chilling like this he’s FULL of life. Such a beautiful and very lucky boy especially with those extra thumbs 🧡🧡🧡
Dear Friends and Supporters,
I am reaching out because our rescue is being inundated with reports of mother cats, kittens, pregnant cats, and male cats in terrible condition. One such case is Little Bow, a friendly cat who has been straying in Harehills for a long time and is in desperate need of care. He faces significant risks, including being hit by cars.
Unfortunately, our current resources are stretched thin. We need to expand our rescue by recruiting more fosterers and raising additional funds. Until we achieve this, our ability to help cats like Little Bow is limited.
We are organizing a Tombola to raise funds and would greatly appreciate any donations you can contribute. Additionally, if you can spare a few pounds for the care of our cats, it would make a huge difference. Every penny helps, and your support means the world to us and the cats we rescue.
Please feel free to donate to our new rescue bank account, which currently has no funds. Every pound and share really helps.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts,
Marla
