I left a career in primary teaching in 2012 and set up Katie's Perfect Paws to serve the needs of local dogs and their owners (and a better work/ life balance!). People still need to go to work and that's where I come in. I have two hourly group walks a day at 10am and 1pm for 6 well-behaved, socialised, off-lead dogs. We enjoy quieter spaces such as Adel Woods, Golden Acre Park and Hetchell Woods

Tasha passed away today.

I first met her in 2014 as a bouncy pup. She lived for her walks. She's played with soooo many dogs over the years, and gave them all a great chase. She was a friend to our Eric when he couldn't walk with anyone else, and put Walter through his paces. Shadow, especially, loved her coaching sessions!

Tash loved running, swimming and chasing critters. She always looked forlorn when it was home-time.

We will miss you terribly xx

Same place, different dogs!
We had another group behind us this afternoon so we went to the bottom field. What was I thinking? The bottom field with Mabel & Mila!!???? 🤦🏼‍♀️
It was great fun though!

It was lovely to walk with Willow again. She had a good sniff, scamper and a couple of zoomies. I think she was blown away by Charlie in his Christmas jumper!

I've spoken to the attendees, and the consensus is to cancel tomorrow due to Storm Darragh. It's really rubbish timing.😔
Everyone is super busy before Christmas, so we'll find a date in the new year. Jumpers will still be compulsory, even if it's in February!!
Walter & I will still be out tomorrow in our waterproofs.

Mavi joined us at Merry Meanwood this afternoon. Meala & Blue made the most of the short grass, Charlie found the puddle, Obi's his own man, and Rusty barked at everyone!

Back at Bramham! I had two requests for an extra walk today so the perfect excuse for a bit of privacy!
Unfortunately there were some tennis balls knocking about. Walter & Shadow hoarded them and became very antisocial 🤨

I am very sad to post that Barney passed away this morning. The CT scan showed that he had advanced cancer so he was let go whilst under anaesthetic.
It's impossible to put the loss of a dog into words. Barney was a regular guest at KPP and the gentlest of dogs. Walter absolutely loved him and Barney was so patient with his 'in-your-face' adoration.
He loved chasing cats, squirrels, deer, and playing tug (to win!).
He was the centre of his owner's world and we will all feel their heartache today. 🖤
