So this is where I was at the weekend. CRUFTS doing the sport I love. My dogs may not have been there. Hopefully in the future you will see Taz taking to the lanes. But her mum was. Opal dog 3 in the blue team.

Look at for Abi's smile face as she was the one putting the balls in the box.

Hi Guys,

I must admit getting a puppy has been a bit of a shock to my system. She likes to get up very early and I do not. Personally 1 think 6.30am on a Sunday morning is just not right.

I have left Ian in bed this morning and thought how do I keep this bouncing ball of energy quiet so he can have some peace. Trust me this is not an easy task.

That when I reached for my Toppl, These are similar to a Kong but not as frustrating for pups or dogs alike. They have a wider opening so food can be accessed from the first touch but they still take some work.

I am wondering why it has taken me 4 weeks to think of doing this, as I have just had an hour of peace whilst the whirlwind Taz enjoyed her breakfast and mental workout at the same time.

Now I need to get a little more creative with the fillings. This morning was her normal mince stuff in it with a couple of sprats served defrosted. I did forget to get a picture but in my defence it was early.

Watch out for my ideas as I will be doing this again as I have had no barking, and no zoomies this morning and we are now sat together just chilling.

Let me know what you guys do to get a peaceful morning.

Please bear in mind this will smell while cooking. It can be done in a slow cooker instead of the pan.
For those that truly dont want to make it but would like to feed it we do stock some ready made versions.

Hi Guys,

Did you know that you can give your dogs warm drinks?

Tonight we were doing a bit of training and Ian was distracted so put his cuppa down on the floor. Taz the monkey that she is took the opportunity to steal his drink. This got me thinking that during these lovely cold months, how many of us are giving our dogs something to warm them up?

Herbal tea can be great to help with some ailments like camomile for calming, nettle for inflammation.

Bone broth is one of my favourite as it is packed full of great nutrition, and helps with their bones and joints it's full of glucosamine and chondroitin. Great for growing puppies and seniors alike.

Hi Guys,

With everything going on, We have not had time to introduce you guys to the new additions. This is Taz. She is now 12 weeks old.

Taz believes that she is now the chief product tester!!!!

I'm sure some of you guys have already met the bundle of energy as she has been down at the shop a few times.

I will be sharing her journey with you guys. She is raw-fed and was weaned on raw too.

So far there is nothing she doesn't want to try, where this is given or stolen. 🤣 Ask Ian about the giant deer leg that is twice the size of her that she is determined to get.

She loves cuddles and fuss for every living thing so if she is about when you are ask for a cuddle. She will love to nibble your ears.

Hi Guys,

It is with great sadness that I write this post. On Tuesday 13th February, we had to put our beautiful Storm to sleep. She was diagnosed with hemangiosarcoma, and there was nothing, we could do for her.
It is a difficult time for me and Ian while we process the loss of our beautiful baby girl. She was the reason we started our raw journey and the driving force for us opening Storms Raw Emporium. She inspired us to help so many other dogs and I will forever be grateful for her love. She was taken far too soon.
Storm was the laziest dog we ever knew, getting her out of bed was always a challenge. She was goofy and stupid. She was my heart dog, always by my side even when she was not meant to be. There was no fence that stopped her from getting to me. She stole the covers and the pillows and regularly kicked us out of bed so she could be comfy. Never learn that standing on your feet stopped you from putting shoes on so it would take longer to go for a walk. She was a master at convincing everyone that we never fed her, and that she needed more treats. She was our chef taste tester. Once she claimed a person, they were forever hers, always had a smile on her face and a tail she couldn’t control.
She will live on through the business and will always inspire us to help as many dogs as possible.
Thank you for your support and patience while we heal.

Hi Guys,

So now we are in the bigger and much nicer unit. Ian and one of our close friends have had a brain wave. Trust me this could get dangerous.

They have decided to do a Christmas Photoshop for your dogs. So on Saturday 25th November and Saturday 2nd December between 10 and 2pm, (Expect this may run over) You can bring your dogs down and get a Christmas Photo of them and you if you want to be in it.

You will get a digital print and they will get a small Christmas treat for only £5.00. All the profits from this will be donated to a local charity. Watch out for a separate post where you guys can choose which charity received this. Please let me know your suggestion.

I will share more on this as we get the area set up.

I will also be trying to get a photo of Storm and Myst in the set-up to share wish me luck.

Hi Guys,

You all know that I believe that raw is best and I always will. However, I also understand that raw doesn't work for all people and dogs. I have listened to you guys and found another option.

So with this in mind I have searched high and low for a brand of kibble and wet food I would be happy to feed to my own if I could not feed raw. I have final found one that I like.

The kibble is cold-pressed, meaning it is easier to digest than a standard kibble. There are 3 varieties white fish, duck and chicken. It is also reasonably priced which was important to me as I am aware that some dried food options are just out of most people's price range. 2kg starting at 14.99 and 10kg at 57.99. A 10kg bag will last a 15kg dog 40 days.

I have also added their wet food to our range as this is a food that may work for people when they are not able to use raw as a short-term option for longer.

***** UPDATE**** The tech guys have manged to evict the gremlins and the website should be back up and running Hi guys Unfortunately, the gremlins have got into the website and it not letting people check out. This is being investigated and will be back up as soon as possible. Hi guys, The forecast is not looking great for this week with heavy snow being predicted. Please can I ask that you don't leave your orders to the last minute. Ok so Ian thinks I mad, but who cares. He should know me by now. I have taken my 2 to Leela Rose - Life Casting & Keepsakes Casting today to have permanent paw casting done. She was fab with the dogs and gave me so many options to choose from. I am a little giddy as I have wanted to do this for a while but know it would be a nightmare to do by myself. Of course, I could not choose so I'm having one of each type done. My argument is that some are for display in the shop. Here is a video she has sent me of the 3d casting. How fab do they look?? this is before she has made them look pretty too. We are also considering inviting her to do a pop-up shop. Let me know if you would be interested? it will be a Saturday probably in September as they take 6 weeks to be finished. They will be ready in time for Christmas. More details to follow.

The reason behind Storm’s Raw Emporium

After many years working in customer service I have decide to bite the bullet and change my life and create something that I am truly passionate about. I discovered Raw, natural pet food about 5 years ago when I got my second dog Storm. Hence the name. She is a lovely Lurcher but had issue’s with every food I tried and nothing seem to satisfy her the more I fed her the more hungry she was and the more that came out the other end. It was not pretty as I am sure most of you know. I looked at all sort of options, grain free, cold pressed, chicken free and then I discovered raw. It was a game changer. I had a dog that was enjoying her food and the output was manageable too.

I also have the fussiest collie in the world Myst, who would turn her nose up at most foods and has even been know to go several days with out eating if she decided that the food was not what she wanted, it was very frustrating. With raw food I have discover a natural healthy way to keep both dogs happy and fed without hours of scratching my head.

I am a true convert to the health benefits that can be achieved with a good quality raw diet. I have spend the last 5 years researching how to ensure that I am give my dogs the best diet.

Raw can be as easy or as hard as you make it. From the easy and convenient pre-made completes to the diy where you can get creative. Raw can suit everyone life style and budget.
