Yesterday we were visited by Ed Anderson CBE, Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire to tour Naturaw HQ and formally present our Kings Award for Enterprise - Sustainable Development 2023 (belatedly - but more on that below).

The team managed to take some time out from packing orders and making our food, in what has been an exceptionally busy week for us in the run up to the Christmas break.

The prestigious award (one of just 15 in the country last year) is recognition of the incredible hard work from the entire team, and we were delighted to celebrate it together, along with some of our family and friends of the business. ❤️

This year has been a busy one even by our own standards. We have just moved into our new office and distribution facility after 5 months of design and fit out work, doubling our footprint from what is now a dedicated production facility in the adjacent building.

If you supplied us with our fabulous British ingredients or our packaging, helped us make it, send it, advised or supported us, bought it or - and here’s the important one - ate it (we’re talking to you dogs) then thank you for being a part of a movement we feel even more passionately about than when we started 10 years ago (we’ve been so busy - we didn’t even celebrate that).

We can’t wait to continue our remarkable journey with you all in 2025.

🎄 The big day is almost upon us. Which although great for the volume of mince pies one person can consume without guilt, is not so great for the volume of parcel deliveries to your door. 🎁

Nothing throws a spanner in the works quite like that sinking feeling you get when opening a freezer bereft of dog food (believe it or not it still happens to us too) so let’s make sure you’re all stocked up - here is the important info - strap in, there’s a lot to digest:

We strongly advise ordering by 2pm Thursday 19th Dec to guarantee arrival before Christmas.

Orders placed by 2pm on 23/12/24*
Despatched for delivery 24/12/24

* We anticipate the courier network will be very, very busy 23/24th Dec and any issues that arise we will not be able to rectify until the following week due to the bank holidays - so please order earlier than this to avoid disappointment.

Despatched for delivery on Tuesday 31/12/24

Delicious deli sausage slices of whitefish complimented by breath freshening dill and parsley, natural sources of vitamins A & C.

A super low fat treat that’s a great option for those watching their waistline!

Made with love in Yorkshire, just gently dried and put in a bag. It sounds pretty easy really, but you would be surprised how many others manage to make a right ol’ dogs dinner of it by using unethically sourced meat from half way around the world, or adding a load of processed nonsense our beloved dogs shouldn‘t be consuming.

🌱 Oh, and just chuck our clever little bags in the compost when the contents have been devoured. We don’t believe in trashing the planet with plastic any more than we do feeding our dogs unhealthy, artificial rubbish.

To celebrate we’re launching 2 amazing NEW varieties of our exquisite natural treats.

Introducing Venison & Scottish Seaweed!

Lip smacking soft deli sausage slices of British Venison with beautiful sustainably hand harvested organic seaweed from the north coat of Scotland - Yep, it’s the same seaweed we use in our Forage range!

Seaweed is a wonderful natural source of calcium, potassium and magnesium along with iodine, manganese and zinc.

Made with love in Yorkshire, just gently dried and put in a (home compostable 🌱) bag. Mayday, Mayday, Mayday 📢

Just when we’d all calmed down from the sheer madness of the double bank holiday for Easter weekend, another one has reared its head over the parapet of this coming weekend.

It’s the May Day bank holiday on Monday 6th May.

Ok, so this time it’s just one day, but for those of you who like to live life on the edge and run your freezer right down to the last pack between deliveries - it might be the difference between bank holiday bliss and your dog having to eat something weird from the s*permarket.

To be clear, any orders received after 2pm this Thursday (2nd May) will not be received until the following Wednesday at the earliest.

Order now to beat the rush and get your order this week.
 
Also this applies to subscription holders too - if your sub falls over the long weekend and you need it before next Wednesday then make sure you log into your account and bring the date forward ASAP so that we can get your food out and keep your freezer stocked up.

Because DPD don’t operate over bank holidays, and because your orders are made and packed by humans who deserve some time off with their families this Easter, there are some delays coming up you need to know about.

Here’s the short of it, because of Good Friday (29th March) and Easter Monday (1st April) we’ll only be able to despatch orders received until 2pm on Wednesday this week - any placed after that will not be with you until at least the following Wednesday (3rd April).

This is your final warning and a really proper official disclaimer that if you run out of food you can’t say we didn’t tell you so, so there.

Also, don’t think that as a subscription holder you are safe from the madness - if your subscription falls over the affected period then make sure you log into your account and bring the date forward ASAP!

🎂 Happy Birthday to Naturaw CEO (Chief Eating Officer) and resident clown Abel who turns the big 0-3 today!

There was chocolate cake for the human team, whilst Abel himself stuck to a non-toxic carrot, banana and peanut butter recipe himself (with not-on-fire Lamb treat candles)

Reluctantly shared with MD Ada (also pictured but stood on all 4 legs), who unfortunately opened all of his presents in a desperate attempt to be the first to be the first to squeak that crisp untainted cotton 🤦‍♀️

Happy International Women’s Day 2024

113 years after the 1st International Women’s Day and there is still work to do. With only 18% of small businesses led by women and a 14.5% gender pay gap in the UK.

We are a proudly female founded business, (in part thanks to Ada the Rhodesian Ridgeback!) and 64% of our human team are female. With no gender pay gap and offering flexible working arrangements because we want to give the women in our team the opportunity to make working possible!

We are 5x the size we were 3 years ago, in no small part thanks to the strong, competent, determined women in our midst.

The team have been super busy in the Kitchen since the turn of the year, and created a brand new Original Range recipe that we’re delighted to say is available online now, and in stockists from this week!

An exquisite blend of high welfare Free Range British Turkey and Wild Caught Haddock, this meal is very low fat at just 4.7% - in fact it’s gone straight in as our lowest fat meal full stop.

80% meat, 10% Bone & 10% Offal, and priced at just £2.85 we anticipate this recipe will be an incredibly popular option for all those who feed our Original Range.

Don't run out of their food over the Christmas break, or else you'll be in trouble 😬

You have until 2pm this Thursday (21st) to get an order delivered by Friday. See below for festive delivery dates 👇
 
👉 Last order date for standard next day delivery before Christmas: 21st December - 2pm

👉 Last order date for orders upgraded to Saturday delivery before Christmas: 22nd December - 2pm

After this:

👉 Standard next day delivery orders placed up until 27th December - 2pm: Delivered on Friday 29th December

👉 Saturday delivery upgrade orders placed up until 29th December - 2pm: Delivered on Saturday 30th December

After this all orders despatched from 2nd January 2024. Please allow extra time to receive orders this week after the break as we anticipate extremely high demand.
