Situated on the outskirts of the market town of Leek and as the name suggests the yard looks out over the end of the Pennine range locally known as the Roaches. We have over 45 acres of grazing divided into paddocks of a suitable size to accommodate all our horses and ponies in a organised manner according to their needs and temperaments. There is a considerable amount of hacking out on quiet road
s within a three to four mile radius of the yard and many of our current owners go out in small groups on a daily basis. There are secure tack rooms and a wash/trim room
All the stables are a minimum of 12' x 12' some of them are bigger. All have automatic water troughs, wide outwardly opening doors and are well lit
Most of the stables are in two large, well ventilated enclosed blocks, although we have seven stables with an outward facing situation for owners who like this open aspect. The yard stands on a 5 acre site, which includes a small 5 CL caravan park, situated along our drive. We have a large car park adequate for parking of owners vehicles and provides ample horsebox and trailer storage. Off the car park is situated a 60 metre by 35 metre sand ménage with a full set of jumps. A 40 metre by 25-metre woodchip ménage for flat work, which as just been re-surfaced, and a woodchip lunging ring. We have a small indoor sand school 25 metre by 12 metre full lit, suitable for pony lessons or lunging larger horses. We have a 4 horse, hydraulic horse walker which is ideal for general exercise or for bringing an injured or sick horse back up to strength before bringing them back into full time work.
