Hi all! Long time no speak! I just wanted to let people know that I am now no longer located in Macclesfield. I’m now between Leek and Buxton. I now offer home boarding and can also provide a pet taxi service if required.

🥵 HEAT WARNING ⚠️

It’s super hot today and set to be for the rest of the week!! We have to be extra careful with all breeds of dog, but especially our flat faced friends!

A few reminders for your dogs safety:

⚠️ Do not walk your dog
⚠️ Do not leave your dog in a car
⚠️ Do not transport your dog if they get very stressed in the car
⚠️ Do not leave your dog for long periods out in the sun

✅ Provide your dog with a cool and shaded area
✅ Offer water regularly
✅ Use a cool coat or cool mat
✅ Set up a fan
✅ Soak their coat or dip in paddling pool
✅ Offer frozen treats such as frozen yoghurt
✅ Be aware of heat stroke signs
✅ Contact your vet if you are worried

Blood transfusions are regularly performed at our Nantwich hospital.
The veterinary profession in the UK is very fortunate to have the wonderful services of Pet Blood Bank UK who have an extremely efficient emergency courier service.
However, sometimes the requirement is even more immediate and we have always operated our own donor registry of local life savers.
Most have retired now and we are appealing for more!
If your dog meets the above requirements and you’d like to register them with us as donors then please call us on 01270-610322.
