It’s taken a bit longer than usual to recover from the long day on Sunday, but we still want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came out to support our traders, independent town businesses, cafes, restaurants and pubs 😊
It’s been a tough year for small businesses and market traders, and the weather hasn’t always been on our side…but your support has remained constant, and for that we are incredibly grateful 😊
Planning is well underway for next years markets, and we will be back on February 2nd 2025.
Until then, from all of the Sunday Supplement Team, and all of our traders, we’d like to wish you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! 🥳 🎄🎄🎅🏻🎅🏻

As we finish with the last of the 2024 markets, we have someone who deserves a very big thank you. Jon (in the middle, not the storm trooper 😉) has worked tirelessly this year - whilst suffering with heart failure and long covid - to put on 12 excellent markets, giving over 100 small, local businesses a platform to sell their creations.
The Sunday Supplement is a vibrant asset to Leek. You’ll find working hard behind the scenes, market organising and promoting all of the traders and those who help him, without praise for himself.
So from all of the traders, helpers and those who enjoy the Sunday Supplement, thank you Jon! 🤩

Wow!! Thank you Leek, and visitors, for a fantastic day today!
Despite the early rain you joined us and made it a great day for our traders, independent shops, cafes and pubs.
This year we have said goodbye to a number of our trader family (and hello to lots of new members!)
We feel a special mention is needed though for the retirement of Gail and Janet, otherwise known as .
Today was their last market with us, after over ten years on the , and many more in the trestle market before.
We’ll miss your humour, resilience, warmth and kindness, and we wish you well as you hang up your market thermals 😁, and we look forward to hopefully seeing you around soon as customers ❤️
