‘What should I be doing between my dogs Professional groom’

Brought a fluffy doggy? I hope you’re prepared to brush him/her everyday! ✂️

You should only ever need 2/3 tools
Slicker brush and comb being your main tools, for those extra thick, Matt prone coats you could be extra prepared with the Matt breaker and detangling spray (check for any allergies with the spray and check on how to use the Matt breaker correctly… there’s a technique to it)

Your job is to keep your fur friend knott and Matt free, if you are using these tools daily you cannot go wrong.

First parting the hair and brushing through with the slicker, I would recommend a slicker brush WITHOUT the plastic bobbles on the end for thicker coats, once you have brushed your dog all over youre ready for a comb through, from the roots to the tips, you should always be able to see their skin, the comb is your guarantee for knott free, if you can get the comb through you have a knott free coat!

‘But my dog doesn’t like being brushed’… make your life a little easier, invest in a little grooming table (you can get them online for as little as £30) OR any unit that bring them to your level, this way brushing is much more manageable, when sitting on the floor you may miss key areas such as tails and legs which is not fun for them to De-knott! Make it as positive as you can, treats help.

Unfortunately most dogs don’t like being groomed, we ourselves may love a pamper but we cannot explain to a dog a good groom will give them a healthy happy coat, a nice warm bath sounds appealing to us but is a chore to some dogs, but just look at how great your pup feels after a groom, most of them love to strut their stuff 💅🏼
