Apologies again for the absence on here recently, after a long break I finally feel ready to start posting again! I wanted to start by talking about Louie. When we first took him in he had a lot of interest, but as he was so small and nervous it took him a little longer than usual to be ready to adopt. By the time he was ready to adopt he had no enquiries! He is now around 9 months old and still looking for a home. He is a very confident little man, he always runs straight over to the door to see me when he wakes up! He isn’t the best with handling but is improving all the time. He’s an absolutely wonderful little guy and really deserves to find a forever home. He’ll need a minimum 100x50cm barless enclosure, 28cm wheel, 12 inches of substrate for burrowing, and lots of enrichment. Please get in touch for an application form!

I finally got around to making a new logo today. I decided to use my past hamster Belle on it, as she is the one that inspired me to start rescuing. I learnt so much about proper care whilst I had her! I hope you all like it. 😊

We have 5 beautiful male robos looking for homes. We’ve had some of them for months now! We very rarely get people interested in adopting a robo and I don’t understand why! They are incredibly fun to watch as they are so fast.
In the first picture is Dumpling. He came in last month along with his brother Noodle. They were housed together and fought so he does have a slit in his ear. This has now fully healed though and doesn’t affect him at all. He is approx 4 months old so quite young still. He doesn’t enjoy interaction but he loves to watch me and see what I’m doing!
The next picture is Noodle, Dumplings brother. He is also 4 months old. He is very inquisitive and will often come over to me when he sees me. He’s very fast but can be handled, I always do this in a playpen though just in case he decides to jump out of my hands!
The third picture is Edmund. He’s around 1 year and 1 month old. He came to us with his brother Walter back in July last year and has had no interest so far. He is quite a shy boy but so entertaining to watch, especially on his wheel!
Next we have Walter, Edmunds brother. He is also 1year and 1 month older and came to us last July. He’s a very active boy and will often wake up when I go into the room. He’s happy to take treats from me!
Lastly we have Max. He is the oldest at 1 year and 3 months. He came to us last September. He is the friendliest boy ever! He will even walk out of his cage and onto my hands. He does nibble a bit sometimes, I think he thinks that I’m food 😂 so I usually wear gloves to handle him. He is fast but very handleable if you are confident!

These boys will all need a minimum 100x50cm cage, minimum 8 inch wheel, a large sand bath, a species appropriate food, and lots of enrichment.

Please get in touch if you’d like to give one of these lovely boys a home. They really deserve to find forever homes!

Introducing Bruno! This little man came to us on Monday. He didn’t come from the best situation as his cage was under minimum and cats were allowed to sit on it! He’s settled into his new enclosure so well and he’s a joy to have around. He’s inquisitive and very calm and easy to handle. He’ll be ready to look for his new home soon, hopefully he’ll find one quickly!

So as you will all know, sooty had a stay at the vets overnight last week. They found lots of bacteria in her urine so she is now being treated for a urine infection! She seems to be drinking less already, so hopefully she’ll be all better soon! Thank you to the people that donated towards her vet costs, we really appreciate it. 😊

Sooty went to the vets today. I noticed that she had been drinking a lot more and her fur had been thinning on her stomach. She’s staying overnight tonight for some tests to check her kidneys, or to see if she has diabetes or something wrong in her reproductive system. If it’s none of these things then it could possibly be cushings. We’re really hoping that it is something that can be treated easily! If you’d like to donate towards her vet costs we’d really appreciate it. We have a PayPal linked in our pinned post at the top of our page!

As Darcie has now been adopted I wanted to shine the spotlight on Cashew! He has been with us since last April, so a very long time now. I’m absolutely puzzled as to why he hasn’t found a home as he is the friendliest little boy. He is an older boy at around 1.5-2 years old but he is still active and loves his wheel! He is amazing with handling and even climbs onto my hand when I place it in his cage. We’d really love to find him a retirement home to live out the rest of his days! Please get in touch if you’d be interested in adopting him. Any shares would be very appreciated to help him find a home!

This gorgeous boy was surrendered on Wednesday. He’s a 2 year old male rat! As he’s an older boy, and we want him to have friends as quickly as possible, we’ve decided that after his 2 week quarantine period he’ll be introduced to our own trio of boys. It’s absolutely essential that rats have company, they can become incredibly depressed without it. He is absolutely lovely and very inquisitive already! We’re excited for him to have some friends again. ❤️🐀

Darcie came to us in April 2021, she’s been looking for a forever home for almost a year now! She is approx 1.5-2 years old. She is a very sweet girl, happy to be handled and always comes over to me for a treat. She’ll need a minimum 100x50cm cage, 33cm wheel, 8+ inches of substrate for burrowing, a Syrian specific food, and lots of enrichment. Please message through either Instagram, facebook, or email [email protected] to apply to adopt. You’ll need to fill out an application form, and provide proof of enclosure.

Meet our two newest hams! Unfortunately they were housed together and fought, so the boy on the second slide has a cut in his ear. He’ll be taking a trip to the vets. It’s so important to keep hamsters separate, they don’t gain anything by being together as they’re solitary, and it can be really dangerous! Luckily apart from his ear injury he’s ok. The other boy appears to be in perfect health! They are approx 3 months old, and will be looking for homes in a couple of weeks.

Tom is finally ready to adopt! He is approx 1 year and 3 months old. His foot issues have cleared up and haven’t come back. He is such a lovely boy, so confident and amazing with handling! He can be a little nibbly whilst he’s in his enclosure but as soon as he’s out he’s fine. He’s always straight over to see me when I enter the room and loves to come out for free roam. He’ll need a minimum 100x50cm cage, 28cm wheel, and 8 inches of substrate for burrowing. He’s currently in a multi duna cage and loves it! So either that or a zoozone 2 are great options for him. Please get in touch if you’d like to give him a forever home. 😊

We sadly lost Pippa today, we have no idea what happened as it was very sudden. She was fine yesterday, and today when I was checking on the hamsters I found her laying outside of her house very unresponsive and she passed away in my hands. She will be incredibly missed, she had the most amazing personality. I’m so grateful for the time that I had with her. The hamster room definitely won’t be the same without her, rest in peace sweet girl. ❤️🌈

Hi everyone. Apologies for being quiet on here the past few weeks and not answering messages etc. I have been struggling a bit with my mental health recently, so found it hard to reply to messages and interact with the page. I am however feeling much better now so will be active and replying to messages again! Thank you for everyone’s patience and understanding. ❤️

Velma and Shaggy are ready to look for their forever homes! (Separately) Velma is a female Syrian and Shaggy is a male. They’re both 12 weeks old tomorrow. Shaggy is a little timid in his enclosure but is great with handling. He’s a very active, friendly little boy. Velma can be a little timid in her enclosure, and can be quite fast with handling. For this reason we mainly just handle her in her playpen which works well! They will both need minimum 100x50cm barless enclosures, with a minimum 28cm wheel, 10 inches of substrate for burrowing, lots of enrichment, and a species specific food mix. Please get in touch if you’d like to offer one of these babies a home!

We’ve decided on names for the baby female mice! We went with Mango, Kiwi, and Cherry! They are ready to start looking for their forever home. They are currently 7 weeks old but will be 8 weeks on the 12th. They will need a minimum 80x50cm cage for just the three of them, but if joining other mice they will need larger. Since they’re so tiny the bar spacing will need to be less than 1cm. Something like the Barney cage would be great for them! They will also need minimum 8 inch wheels, and lots of enrichment. If you’re interested in adopting these lovely girls please send a message.
*we will not be splitting them up, they need to be adopted together*

Meet Maya! She is a lovely 8 month old female Syrian. She came to us last night after she was advertised on Facebook marketplace in a very unsuitable cage. She is very friendly and has been really enjoying her new enclosure. She’s been loving foraging, chewing, and running in her wheel. (P.s she will be getting a new bigger sand bath soon) Also, we are in need of bedding again. With so many animals here we go through an awful lot! Especially as the baby hamsters recently had to be separated which meant setting up 5 new enclosures. We have a wish list linked in our pinned post if anyone would like to donate some, we really appreciate anything. Thank you! ❤️

I’m absolutely shocked and devastated to be writing this. I found Finn in his forever sleep tonight. I have no idea why this happened, he was absolutely fine last night. He had an awful life before coming to us. He was bought from a pet shop, and on that same day being given away because of a kitten in the house. I’m so sad that he couldn’t have been in good care for longer. He was only 9 weeks old which is just heartbreaking. Rest in peace sweet boy. 💔

Our beautiful boy Monty is finally ready to find a home! He’s around 5 months old and has been with us for almost 3 months now. We’ve been working very hard to help him overcome his fear of humans and he’s doing so well! At first he wouldn’t even come out of his house when I was in the room but now he will come over to the door to greet me and take some treats. He’s gaining so much confidence and I’m sure that this will continue in his forever home. He will need a minimum 100x50cm barless enclosure, 33cm wheel, 10 inches of substrate, and a crowded setup as this helps him to feel safer. We really hope that he can find a forever home soon as I think he’d thrive!

I’m very happy to say that both Hope (first picture) and Juniper (second picture) passed their pregnancy watch with no babies! All being well Juniper will be off to her forever home this weekend. Hope is now ready to be reserved! She’s an older girl at approximately 1 year and 8 months old, but she is still very energetic! She’s very confident and friendly, she is happy to be handled and likes to come out for free roam time. She’ll need a minimum 100x50cm barless setup, something like the linnmon or rectangular pawhut would be perfect. She is a big girl so needs a 33cm wheel. She’ll also need a minimum of 10 inches of substrate for burrowing and lots of enrichment to keep her entertained. If you are interested in giving her a forever home please get in touch!
