Celebration post ❤️❤️

This month we celebrate our colleague Jade who has been with us now at the practice for 10 years.

Jade started out as a student veterinary nurse at our Leicester Forest East branch and has made her way up to being Head Veterinary Nurse.

Jade is a valuable member of the team who prides herself on her patient care and shows compassion to her patients, clients and her colleagues everyday.

Thank you for everything Jade. We are lucky to have you and huge congratulations for reaching 10 years service. Enjoy your treats xx

This year marks the 20th anniversary of BVNA’s Vet Nurse Awareness Month (VNAM), celebrating registered veterinary nurses across the UK and the crucial role they play in the veterinary profession as a whole.

To celebrate the fantastic and varied work our veterinary nurses do, and the progression that has been made by both individuals and the profession, we’ve shared a little video which we hope you enjoy and a give a better understanding of the role of our nurses and student nurses!

Does anyone recognise this little one?

This little one has been hanging around the area of Stanley Road LE2 for a little while. There isn’t a microchip but has a collar. Seems very hungry and friendly but a little lost.

If you recognise this little one then please get in touch. They may have just moved in but we’d like a quick chat if possible
Thank you. Please call 01162543255.

Sad News 😔

HAPPY 30 YEARS GILL 🥳🥳🥳

Today we wanted to show our appreciation to one of our vets and Clincal Director Gill! Gill has now been with Bell Brown and Bentley for 30 years and the practice would not be the same without her!

She’s helped so many pets, pet parents and staff over the years with her wealth of experience and love of animals and we’re so lucky to have her! Thank you for the last 30 years, what a huge milestone!

Another sad post! 😢😢😢

Unfortunately, with a heavy heart we have to report that we had a young golden Labrador, approx 1 year old female brought into us late last night that had passed away after what we think was a collision with a train as it was found close to the tracks behind Packer Avenue, LFE.

She was wearing a pink flower collar. She was microchipped but the details aren’t up to date.

We would really like to find her owners to inform them.

Please get in touch if you have any information on 01162388100.

Thank you

Did you know over 50% of the UK's dog and cat population are overweight or obese?

Research has shown the dogs who have a lean body weight live up to TWO YEARS longer?!

Some of the health issues associated with our pets being overweight or obese are:

>Breathing difficulties
>Joint disease such as arthritis
>Skin disease
>Increased anaesthesia risk and surgical complications
>Decreased immune function
>Constipation
>Anal gland issues
>Pancreatitis
>Diabetes

If you think your pet may be overweight please feel free to contact us to book in for a consultation with one of our nurses to discuss how to get back to a healthier body weight.
