This scam sadly is still active and ongoing. Please share to friends and family

Pet owners, beware of fraudulent emails from fake companies like "Petchip.network" claiming your pet’s microchip registration has expired. These emails often include your pet's name, microchip number, and your contact details to appear legitimate.

DO NOT FALL FOR THIS SCAM:
❌ Never click on links in these emails.
✅ Use only trusted databases listed at gov.uk/get-your-dog-cat-microchipped.
✅ Remember, fees are generally only required when first registering your pet or directly updating details with your microchip provider.

Keep your pet’s microchip details current (address, phone number, email) by contacting your provider directly.

Protect your pets and your personal information by staying vigilant. Please share this warning – reports suggest this scam is targeting pet owners across the UK.

This little one was found by a member of the public in the city centre near the highcross shopping centre this morning

He is microchipped but the details aren’t up to date.

We have made contact with the dog warden to collect him but he is still currently with us

Found by a member of the public, this little guy was left in his cat basket all alone and has been brought in to us.

He’s black and white, 4/5 years old neutered male. No microchip.

Found near Grantham Road.

Did you know over 70% of cats develop gum disease? 🦷 For the good of your cat’s dental health, it’s best to brush their teeth daily. If brushing your cat’s teeth sounds daunting, our top tips will make it a bit easier.

Our practice is taking part in the 2024 Antibiotic Awareness Month! 💊 Throughout November 2024 we are asking pet owners to return any unused or leftover antibiotic medications to us for safe disposal. Please drop off any unused medications to us at the practice. You can hand them in to a vet, nurse or the reception team. This medication might be left-over from a recent prescription, antibiotics that you didn’t need or out-of-date medication! Let’s keep antibiotics working, together!

This year marks the 20th anniversary of BVNA’s Vet Nurse Awareness Month (VNAM), celebrating registered veterinary nurses across the UK and the crucial role they play in the veterinary profession as a whole. To celebrate the fantastic and varied work our veterinary nurses do, and the progression that has been made by both individuals and the profession, we’ve shared a little video which we hope you enjoy and a give a better understanding of the role of our nurses and student nurses!
