β€οΈπΎπPET OF THE MONTH ππΎβ€οΈ
It's the super cute Millie!!
Millie is only a baby and came to see Libby at the start of the summer, she had a range of symptoms, including lethargy & inappetance, which for a labrador puppy is very unusual and basically unheard of! A series of blood tests confirmed what Libby suspected, Millie had a congenital complication with the blood vessels supplying her liver, called a liver shunt. This in turn allows blood to bypass the organ. Millie was referred for specialist surgery to close the vessel after a week of monitoring & medication. Millie is now back to being a cheeky, inquisitive pup & she came for her post op check full of bounce.
What a brave pupster πΆβ€οΈ (& thankyou for the lovely cakes they were delicious)

π βοΈ PET OF THE MONTH βοΈπWeβre reintroducing pet of the month - a patient who has melted our hearts through their bravery and personality - and this month could be no other than the amazing Hollie π©·Hollie was unlucky enough to badly break her right hind (tibia or skin bone) leg a couple of months back. Despite referral for extensive orthopaedic surgery, the bones have refused to heal and we were left with little choice but to consider amputation of the limb. This is never a decision we take lightly. Wherever possible we aim to preserve the limb but in Hollieβs case it was clear there was no way back and amputation was in her best interest. We are delighted to report she has made a full recovery from surgery and seems so much happier on 3 legs. Hollie you are a total star with the most dedicated owners and your bravery has been an inspiration
Look at this pair of sweethearts, all snuggled up after their operations last week, speedy recovery guys xx
