Ever wondered what we get up to behind the scenes🥰
The ‘dancing lights’ are proving to be a big hit again this year in Hinckley. If you want to get into the Christmas spirit then a trip to Bute Close, Hinckley, LE10 0SJ is a must!
As well as putting a smile on people’s faces the display is also raising much-needed funds for the cats and dogs at Leicester Animal Aid.
The fundraising, now in its third year, is the hard work of homeowner Dave Letts, a light and sound enthusiast who uses his spare time to create light displays that ‘dance’ to music.
A local Scout group loved it so much that they are already planning next year’s visit and have even been invited for hot choc and mince pies!
Everyone here at L.A.A. is so grateful to Dave, his partner Sharon and family, for putting in so much work to create such a brilliant display and raise funds for us. We know that the work of L.A.A. means the world to them, and they mean the world to us! If you can please visit, enjoy the display and make a donation. You can donate via Dave's Just Giving page https://www.justgiving.com/page/diddydave-light-show or just text REHOME followed by your donation amount to 70460.
This is what Sundays are all about, isn't that right Harley?! 💖🐾
A little bit of patience is all a rescue dog needs. As you can see, Pluto has gained immensely in confidence and adores the kennel staff who show him love and dedication, which he has never received. Some dogs like Pluto go through mental, physical and emotional trauma which has a massive impact on how they expect humans to treat them. It has taken two months for Pluto to reach this level of happiness and with the support of the kennel team he will continue to progress and shine like the star he is! 💖🐾
Happy Friday Everyone - we just love to see our dogs having fun! ❤️

Jasper is one of our more nervous cats, but has really been coming out of his shell recently 🥰

💖 A huge thank you to everyone who donated to our Christmas Appeal 💖
As you can see, some of our animals were very excited to open their present on Christmas Day! All of the cats and dogs in our care received a gift, and the money that is left over will go towards helping the animals who come to us in 2023.
We are so grateful to everyone who helped.

✨Happy New Year to you all ✨
Wishing you and your pets a happy and healthy 2023.
✨ What a year it has been! ✨
In early 2022, we were so happy to open our Centre again to the public and so many animals have found their forever homes this year.
We can't say thank you to everyone individually - there are just too many of you! But, we are so grateful to our staff who work incredibly hard all year round, and of course our volunteers, trustees, supporters and fundraisers - because we just couldn't do what we do without your support. 🙏
A huge heartfelt thank you to each and every one of you, and we can't wait to see what 2023 brings.
Wishing you all a Happy New Year.
💗
As we are nearing the end of the year we would love to hear how our former LAA four-legged-friends are doing! Please comment below with an update and a photo if you would like to 💗
We re-homed many animals in 2022 and these are just a few of the ones we have helped to find loving and responsible homes.
If you are thinking of adopting a cat or dog in 2023 you can find advice on our website as well as view the profiles of our current animals.
