We're sure you'll all agree that Cruz is such a handsome boy. 🥰 This two-year-old German Shepherd Rottweiler cross has been with us for eighteen months.

Health-wise, it's fair to say that this lively lad has faced something of an uphill struggle. With two cruciate repair surgeries and emergency surgery for intestinal problems.

Cruz is a young intelligent boy with his whole life ahead of him and a lot to give. His prognosis is good and we hope he'll find his forever home really soon.

Here we have Bisto, in a common Lurcher position - snuggled on blankets lying down.!

This two-year-old who has been at the Centre for seven months, has his paws crossed that he'll have a sofa of his own to snuggle up on very soon. 🥰

He will need lots of time and patience and would want company most of the day. He needs a quiet adult-only home where he'd be encouraged to meet new people and gradually.

Ex-racer Belle has popped by to see if any of our pawsome supporters are able to help her. 🥰

Due to an old injury to her back right leg, the joint supplement YuMove is really beneficial for her. She'd also share it with Cruz who has hip dysplasia. Whilst it doesn't stop Belle and Cruz from getting out and about and they don't need any other medication at the moment, the supplement helps to preserve their joints and limbs for future years.

Something heartwarming for a Monday morning🥰 Brownie, Ada, raised an amazing £257 for us by holding a read-a-thon and read 169 chapters in a week!

Ada, who was supporting L.A.A. as part of her Brownie Charities interest badge, also brought in a beautiful home-made thank-you card for everyone at the Centre for all the hard work we do looking after the animals. 🐶🐱

Well-done Ada, you thoroughly deserve your badge!

We hope it won't be long before we wave Bilbo off on his new adventure - a life filled with lots of love and care. 🥰

Sadly this two-year-old Shar-Pei cross, who has been with us since February, hasn't had the best start in life. We hope that his fortunes change very soon. 🤞

Bilbo will need an adult-only home where he is the only animal and would be happy with garden exercise. He's not great in the car, so this would need further work.

What's better than rehoming a cat I hear you say....? Taking on a pair has many advantages when their bond is as strong as Jet and Dot's. Being brother and sister, they are never far away from one another and enjoy cuddling up together, eating together and keeping each other entertained.

Don't worry about the space for two cats as this pair are joined at the hip! It is like having one cat but with twice as much love and snuggles 💖🐈‍⬛. They are also happy around children aged 8 years and above!

Since coming to the Centre in April, handsome Frank is enjoying time to chill out and relax after retiring from work.

This five-year-old cuddle monster wants to continue his leisurely life-style in his new home, which he'd happily share with older teenagers. 🥰 Due to his breed and being an ex-worker, Frank will need lead-only exercise and a muzzle when out and about.

We have our paws crossed that you'll be coming along to support us tomorrow (Saturday) at the Thurlaston Carnival where we'll be running a fun Dog Show.🐶

You'll be able to register for the Dog Show when the event opens at 11am, just come along to the L.A.A. gazebo. It's £2.50 per round, cash is preferred but we'll have a card reader too.

The show will start at 2pm with Golden Oldie (8+) and then run on with, Perfect Puppy (12 months and under), Waggiest Tail, Best Male, best Female and to finish off, Best Rescue. There will be rosettes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each round and the winner of each category will be entered into the Best in Show round at the end.🥇

It's been almost a year since this sweet boy was found as a stray, tied up with his belongings. 😞

Understandably, he was extremely worried and anxious when he first came into the Centre. After lots of patience and kindness, Ziggy's personality has shone through and he is such a sweet and loving boy! He enjoys playing with his toys and will drop them by your side and having cuddles on the sofa.

☀️The summer holidays are just around the corner, and if you're looking for something a bit different then we may have the answer. 🐶

🐶Our K9 Kids workshop is running on Wednesday 31st July, Wednesday 7th August and Wednesday 21st August from 2pm to 3pm.🐶

The workshop, which is free and held at our Centre in Huncote, covers how to understand a dog's body language, how to be safe around dogs and there is also the opportunity to practice meeting a real dog safely and responsibly. 🐶

The session is great for youngsters, aged 5 to 16, who are confident around dogs and also for those who may be anxious and unsure. Please note under 8s must be accompanied by an adult.

Everyone here at L.A.A. loves Otter to bits, but what we'd all be over the moon to see is this gorgeous Akita finding his forever home. 🥰

He has been at the Centre for more than two years and really deserves to be in a home with a family to call his own. He loves cuddles on the sofa, playing with his toys - he can usually be found carrying one around - and he walks nicely on his lead.

Its and we'd thought we'd share an update on the very handsome Pepper.🐱 As you may remember he came to us as a nervous, anxious stray and spent five months in the Cattery before finding his pawfect forever home.

Just look at him now - basking in the sun! He spent some time settling into his new home before being introduced to the great outdoors. Understandably, his mum was a little nervous in case he didn't come back but she let him enjoy the garden whilst keeping an eye on him. She needn't have worried, after an hour he came back, straight up the stairs and onto the bed! Well done, Pepper, we're so proud of you.🥰

We ended national Volunteers' Week in style with a special event to say a massive thank you to all our amazing volunteers.🥰

This year is flying by and in around 4 weeks time many schools in the area will be breaking up for the long summer holidays! ☀️

If you're looking for something different for the kids to do, then we may have the answer. Why not book an hour-long K9 Kids workshop? They are held at the Centre in Huncote and are free of charge. The workshops are designed to build children's confidence around dogs and learn how to be safe around them. 🐶

We have four dates in the summer holidays and one in October half-term. The sessions are for youngsters aged 5 to 16, under 8s must be accompanied by an adult.
