I have over 30 years experience owning various breeds of dog, I have a Diploma in Dog Psychology and Behaviour. I enjoy being outdoors with my family and at weekends spend many a happy hour walking with friends around Swithland wood, Beacon hill & Burrough woods, Martinshaw woods in & around Leicestershire. I have a qualification in dog grooming and am happy to give your dog a bath and trim upon request. I hold a current canine first responder certificate

💝 Tinks is home 💝

Thank you all for the lovely messages and comments .
It’s been a very long week waiting for her to come home. For a small girl the house feels very empty without her little shadow following me around.
I’d like to say a huge Thankyou to Tine & Emily from Paws Over The Rainbow who made her passing a kind, smooth and sensitive transition and their wonderful service. 💖

Today we said our final goodbyes to our Tinks.
She was almost 14 and had been the best little dog we could have asked for. She came to us 12 years ago for a holiday and we were supposed to find a new home for her …. That we did, and keeping her with us was the best decision we could have made. She had the kindest personality and was always my little helper when assessing dogs for daycare. I always trusted her judgement implicitly. She was a mean mouser and yet could love and protect the smallest chicks and baby rabbits without a care in the world. She was always by Katie’s side as she grew up and was her little dog.
Tinks we will miss you terrible, you may have new the smallest family member but you had biggest personality I have ever seen, we will miss her, always sat on the back of the sofa watching the world go by . Rainbow bridge has gained a cracking little terrier 🌈

Today Miss Ruby celebrated her 4th Birthday with us with her friends. We had a taste of birthday cupcakes each and sang her ‘a happy Birthday’🎂 Everyone loves 🎂!

I can’t believe it’s been such a long time since I posted! We are right in the middle of summer madness with lots of dogs coming and going while families are on holiday. I have spent a couple of weeks building our new pergola which has been very well used already. It’s reduced the sun glare on the back of the house and reduced the temperature inside giving us some much needed sun shade and rain shelter. The dogs are using it as intended and I’m enjoying being able to sit outside with them whatever the weather!

Some scumbags have stolen Aidan Reed bike over night . 1.30am 3 youths arrived , broke the steering lock& chain and wheeled it away . Heading towards Tournament road At 2am
All 3 arrived all on a light coloured moped, turned round in Treasure Close & disappeared.
I’m fuming, 😡 they have taken his first bike bought with his hard earned money . I’m even more annoyed that I heard nothing & I sleep in the bedroom above the bike! They knew what they were doing. & waited for Aidan to leave for work. Police have been notified but as usual , crime number snd nothing else they can do 😭

We about got through Another scorching day by having a super morning in the pool before it too hot. This afternoon we had a quick play before heading back in to stay cool in front of the fan on the cold tiled

Hot sunny days mean it’s paddling pool time. A quick walk then lots of fun in the garden before chilling indoors when it gets to warm. The fan is out, and the umbrellas are up to give us much needed shade and every one is happy… well almost everyone. You won’t find a few of them offering to hit the pool !

From today in England, all owned cats must be microchipped by the age of 20 weeks. The chip details must be registered on a compliant database in the name of the cat's keeper and those details must be kept up to date. Failure to comply means that the keeper is reducing the chances of being reunited with their pet if should be lost or stolen.

If there is a breach, an enforcer may serve a 21 day Notice and, if that is ignored, the keeper will then become liable to a prosecution where on conviction the fine can be up to £500. In common with the dog microchipping regulations, this is about the benefits of compliance rather than the detriment of enforcement.

An enforcer is unable to issue a Fixed Penalty Notice.

Trev had a spring clean & trim today , he’s going home half of the dog he came this morning ! Everyone has at least one best friend and all shenanigans are watched carefully by the ‘grown up pups’ like Poppy who loves to keep an eye on the puppies.

We had Another fantastic gundog class today with Ember. We had some fantastic retrieves , she was showing lots of steadiness & listening really well. Even got a delivery of the dummy to hand which has been a little tricky in practice ! Enjoying our 1 to 1 time

Today I took a rare day off to go and visit Crufts atThe NEC. I had a great time Meeting some of my most favourite breeds and drooling over the fantastic gundog breeds, I was really in my element. I was slobbered on by a fab Great Dane and chewed on by a playful handful of a Akita. I met a rare, long coated Akita, whos owners I felt for trying to keep on top of his thick double coat. I fell in love with a gorgeous black & Tan field spaniel who was a much larger version of Ember.
So many fab breeds 🥰

I have shown my dogs in the past and bred a wonderful litter of Labradors in 2011 I enjoy being outdoors with my family and at weekends spend many a happy hour walking with friends around Swithland wood, Beacon hill & Burrough woods, Martinshaw woods in & around Leicestershire. I have a qualification in dog grooming and am happy to give your dog a bath and trim upon request. I also hold a current canine first responder certificate.
