The day I had been dreading came over the Easter hols. Beautiful Tara has crossed rainbow bridge.

Tara has been with us since we took over doglegs 10 1/2 years ago. She was the last dog left that had been with us from the start. I have so many memories of her that make me smile. She was always led by her stomach- I vividly remember the time she disappeared at Beacon hill. I was running round like a headless chicken looking for her and eventually found her sitting with a couple on their blanket sharing their picnic! Or the time she crawled under the fence at the caravan park by Swithland woods to polish off what someone had put out for the birds. I had to crawl after her through the same tiny gap to get her back!! Over the years I got to know the way she would tilt her nose in the air meaning she was about to go off on a food finding mission and I also got to know the places where I had to put her back on the lead to keep her from wandering. But most of all my memories are of her tail thumping, her joy for life, her love of the water, our little home time routine with the biscuits (watch your fingers!).

She reached the grand old age of 15, but it's still not long enough. She was so loved by all of us and I miss her deeply. Our thoughts are with her lovely family ###

Nell decided to have a bath in the mud flats 🙈 Not a good state to arrive at our holiday cottage in. We've used all the dog towels we brought with us just to make her ok to put in the car 🙈

Willow made me laugh last week. She did a bit of mountain climbing so she could gain some height over her subjects. She was not impressed when Bingo climbed up beside her 🤣

Nice walk in Swithland woods. We followed some twisty tracks through the more dense parts of the wood. The dogs found it very exciting. I came home with leaves in my hair!!

Bingo and Margot love to play but Margot doesn't have the same stamina as Bingo so has to keep having some time out! He's getting to understand!
