Bloodhound hunting, also known as "hunting the clean boot", is a sport where bloodhounds track the scent of a human runner over a pre planned route.....
This is how it works.....
The runner, or "quarry", sets off on a pre planned route, and the bloodhounds are released by the huntsman at the agreed start point. The runner's scent is unique to them and is affected by the weather. The bloodhounds are tenacious and will follow the scent to the finish line. Here in the video shows we put our runners into the trailer with hounds so they know the scent they need to follow. Bloodhounds have an exceptional sense of smell, with scent membranes that are thousands of times more sensitive than a human's. Their long, droopy ears help direct the scent to their nostrils.

His statement our huntsman will never forget "even though i know im going to get licked to death at the end of the line hearing them speak and hunt me down makes me run!"

Meet at 12pm leave mounted at 12.30pm under 16s only £20 per pony lead rein £15 lots of little optional jumps throughout the day
Dress code smart - plaited ponies, riders tweed jackets if you dont have tweed jackets and cream jods please do not worry just come smart and christmassy! 🎅 decorate children and ponies as much or as little as you like!
Itinerary on the day -
Leave mounted 12.30pm
Will be split into 3 groups -
*Thrusters
*Up and coming
*Trot & Pop (lead rein)
All jumping is optional for all 3 groups!
Juice & cake stop at 1.15pm
Return approx 2pm
All riders, helpers, family members & parents to the indoor school for tea, coffee, mulled wine 🍷 mince pies and much more 🍰☕ .....
All children can take part in the party games followed by each rider receiving a Christmas present from Santa and his little helpers 🎁
