My male leopard gecko has been very busy end of december/this week.... locking up with 7 females! 😅

All the females have been ovulating, which they only do 4 times per year! As a breeder my job is to spot this ovulation (daily checks) and then hopefully the female allows the male to pair up with her!

The female will then retain the s***m in the base of her tail, only releasing enough s***m to fertilise the 2 eggs she develops, she will do this every 21 days up too 6 times from the one pairing from the male!

So it's safe to say the females do most of the work here!! 😅🦎

Each night we try to spend some time interacting with the reptiles, we currently have 40 reptiles all being worked with closely so this helps us maintain a healthy relationship, making it as stress free for the reptiles and ourselves when interacting and breeding 🙏

This beautiful female royal python hopefully will get paired up shortly reason for 2022s royal python breeding season! She is very gentle, calm and extremely inquisitive 🐍
