We hope your dogs are coping the best they can with the noises of fireworks. Remember even those who seem ok will be more heightened than usual and may seem more on edge. Give them plenty of time to decompress during the day, sniffing, licking and chewing can help dogs to regulate. The more they can do this in the day will really help in the evenings. If your dog is reactive the extra stress can exacerbate their reactivity so give them quiet walks alone. If you’re worrying about next year talk to your vet who can help you with options and can refer you to a clinical animal behaviourist who can help you ready for next year. 💕#fireworks2024 #fireworks #dogtips #dogtraining #dogvideosofinstagram
Please think about the pets in your area before setting off fireworks. So many can get seriously injured and suffer great emotional trauma from the weeks of random noises. If you must celebrate please use the silent ones, or go to a display. This at least give caregivers a time scale and they can prepare. Our pets, wildlife and livestock don’t deserve this, not to mention the many different people and children who also suffer this time of year.
