Flea & Tick Season is upon us! This also brings with it the increased risk of worms.

We realise that parasite treatments can be expensive and some people turn to 'over the counter' products, which are often far less effective (if at all!), as they may be cheaper. This can ultimately lead to a bigger problem and greater expense.

🐎Finally Turning Out??🐎

With a bit of an upturn in the weather and the ground finally drying out, we're seeing a lot of people finally getting to turn out their horses and ponies, which often means they need to be wormed!
We can give free advice on worming, as well as being able to provide a broad range of wormers as well as worm egg counts.
We know costs are high but many yards maintain a good worming/poo-picking regime so worming is not always necessary......we won't sell you a wormer if we don't think you need it!

This is Sidney working out in Waterwalkies. Sidney is rehabilitating after Cruciate Ligament Surgery and is coming on really well. His mum tells us he's quiet at home! :-D

Merlin's post-operative physio

Merlin had surgery on his hip 10 weeks ago. He's doing really well on the Waterwalker, walking and trotting. His sister Harley comes with him to keep an eye on him! :-)

Water Walkies

Our waterwalker is a variable speed treadmill, in which warm water is introduced up to a level compatible with individual dog's size and requirements. It is a form of hydrotherapy, which is well-established in the treatment of many medical conditions, recovery from surgery but also very helpful for general fitness and well-being.

Jake is one of our hydrotherapy clients. Jake had a cruciate repair, loves his time on the water walker! Has now progressed to a nice trot. He’s built up amazing muscle and has lost 2kg since starting hydrotherapy! Well done Jake!

Jack & Janice

Jack & Janice having fun and getting some extra exercise. When the weather's as bad as it has been lately it's handy having another option for exercising your dog! These two love trotting and playing on the Waterwalker!

This little handsome chap is called Bully, he had a femoral head excision op 7 weeks ago. Following his a few session of hydro therapy, he’s walking well in the warm water.

This is Barney having his Hydrotherapy. Barney is an older gentleman and gets a bit stiff. He goes on the Waterwalker to help with his arthritis. He's a little nervous so his mum gets on with him to make him feel more at ease!
