☀️❌️☀️THE DANGERS OF HOT WEATHER☀️❌️☀️
As much as the sun brings enjoyment, it can also lead to serious health problems that can become fatal for your dog.
Every year, no matter how much the issue is raised, when driving around I still see dogs being walked in the midday sun when it's at its hottest temperature.
I've recently read comments of people saying dogs are fine, how do you think they cope in the hot countries? Answer is they don't.
Dogs from the hotter climates e.g stray dogs tend to keep out the sun during the day and come out in the evening to eat and move around.
Truth is our dog's are not used to this heat. We don't have it all year round and they tend to suffer a little bit just like us when we've had enough. The difference is they can't speak up.
Dogs who are even higher risk:
• Senior dogs
• Puppies
• Short nosed breeds e.g Pug, Shih Tzu, Bulldog
• Double coated breeds e.g Husky, German Shepherd
• Dogs with medical conditions
So still go on walks together but wait until the morning or evening when it will be more enjoyable for you both 😊
And another thing...
❌️NEVER leave dogs in hot cars, even for a minute❌️
Try sitting in a hot car wearing a coat for just 2mins with the window cracked, its very uncomfortable & stressful.
HEATSTROKE KILLS!!!!!
