Here are our opening hours for the Christmas and New Year period 👍 Only closed completely on 3 days, but there are quite a few days with slightly shorter hours than normal.
There's still time to make sure your dog has a lovely new toy to open on Christmas Day 👍 Come and choose your favourite 🙂
After your dog finishes their advent calendar on Xmas Eve (see our last post) you will of course need to make sure they are not left out when it comes to dinner time on Xmas Day 👍 But fear not...These Wagg Christmas dinner flavoured treats will be exactly what you need 🙂😋
You know you don't want your dog to feel left out when it comes to advent calendar time in December 👍 Luckily...We have the answer 😉 Advent calendars for dogs containing 24 yummy carob and cheese bones 🙂
We have a limited number of 25kg sacks of sunflower hearts available for only £39.99 🙂 Our sunflower hearts are usually 20kg bags for £43.99 and so you can currently get 5kgs more, but for £4 less 👍 Only available while stocks last!
Despite more messing about (resurfacing this time) with Hockliffe Road/Leighton Road yesterday and today, both sides of the road are now fully open and open in both directions 👍 No problem or barriers (human or otherwise) for anyone wishing to reach us or any of the other businesses on our site 🙂

As construction of a care home is now well underway, there is a little bit less parking available at the front of our site. However, the car wash has now permanently closed and that area can now be used for cars to start parking as shown in the 2nd picture of this post 👍 Plenty of room for about 10 cars to park side by side between the car wash container and the gates at the bottom of our site. Please use this space to avoid just parking anywhere in the main car park and starting car park wars that nobody wants 🙂 Thanks in advance.
New dog treat now being stocked 😁 A lot of us humans would like a bacon and cheese toastie...So here are bacon and cheese toastees for our canine friends 🙂 £1.99 for a small bag off the shelf or 10kg boxes available on request if you have a hungry dog 👍

We have found a Barclays Visa Debit card lying on the floor near the speed bump outside our shop. The name on the card is A P KENLOCK. If anyone knows someone that might belong to then please ask the person to get in contact with us. Thanks.
We're a bit late posting this unfortunately, but in a change to the below opening times, we are only open from 10 a.m until 3.30 p.m today. This is because today is a Bank Holiday as it's carried over from yesterday being New Year's Day 👍 Back to normal from tomorrow 🙂
We're open today, but only until 3 o clock so make sure you get down to us as early as you can if you do need anything from us to keep your pets going until we're open again on Tuesday 👍

Even though the cost of pretty much everything is increasing these days (including pet products unfortunately)...We are still trying to help our customers save money as much as we can 🤞👍 We have a range of loyalty cards available to our customers so please do ask in store for more details. We will always try to offer you any applicable loyalty cards when you are at our till anyway 🙂

Before they closed down we did have a couple of conversations with Denne Country Stores, and a few calls from some of the brands we both stock, about whether we'd be happy for us to be recommended to Denne's customers.
Of course we said we'd be delighted if that was o.k as we stock a similar range of products and lots of the same brands (Burns, Barking Heads, Natures Menu, Skinners, Trixie etc) 🙂
So, if any of our lovely Facebook friends do know people that used to shop at Denne's, please do recommend us to them 👍 Thanks 🙂
The old paper £20 and £50 notes are now no longer 'legal tender' 💰 Please DO NOT attempt to spend them in our shop anymore as we will not be accepting them ❌️ You may find some other places still take them if they want to, but if not, your bank (whoever they are) should happily replace any old ones with the newer plastic ones for you 👍
Please note that we will be closed on Monday (19th September) as it's a Bank Holiday for the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. Our thoughts are with the Royal Family at this very sad time, but we join the country in also celebrating the life of a truly remarkable lady.
Unless you live on another planet, we're sure everyone is probably aware that the price of almost everything in the world is unfortunately going up at the minute 🤦♂️ Some companies/brands/businesses in the supply chains of lots of industries are simply passing on all price increases to their customer in the supply chain so that they can keep their margins etc. But...We are NOT doing that 👍
Instead, we are still selling a large majority of products in our shop below the recommended price given to us by the product makers and you will see this indicated by the product labels on our shelves 🙂 While we obviously need to make a profit to continue existing as a business, we accept that when there are exceptional circumstances (like at the minute), we can help our customers by keeping our prices as low as we possibly can and not making excessive profits 👍

If you feed your dog Burns dry dog food then please be aware their food is now split into adult and senior instead of the 2 being covered by 1 food 🤷♂️ It is recommended to change to the senior dog food if your dog is 7 years old or older 👍 The food is the same price, but tailored more for older dogs 🙂
If you've been in the shop in the last couple of weeks you may have noticed that the Stockbull Economy mixed dog treats are back in stock 👍 Not just that...They're in a much improved tub and are now £5.49 for 500g instead of £2.99 for 240g 🙂 Everyone's a winner as they say 🤷♂️
At about 3.40 yesterday afternoon, a silver Peugeot 206 somehow managed to crash into the fence that separates the children nursery's back garden from the main car park on our site 👎 The driver then just drove off either in complete ignorance of their terrible driving or they knew full well what they were doing 🤷♂️ If anyone knows the owner of this car then please let us know as the least the owner can do is own up to the incident (they're on CCTV so they can't deny it) and then cover the costs of repairing the fence 👍
The first stretch of really hot weather for the year may be coming to an end, but there's sure to be more during the Summer months 🙂 Make sure you get your cooling coats/mattresses/toys ready for your dog for when the heat comes again 👍
