The Saturday groups in actions 🙌
Long and short retrieves were the order of the day!

We started simple with marks and then blinds in the same area along with a drive elsewhere and mark distractions.
The blinds were then replaced again and then a short mark distraction was thrown in front of the area so handlers and dogs had to pick the short retrieve first and then push through the old fall to pick the longer blind… all the dogs did really well 👏👏

We beat the heat on Sunday with the morning puppy groups ☀️
The younger puppies did really well, we started with obedience around each other then did recalls though the channel of dogs and finished with moving on the stop whistle to the next stage which they all got the hang of really well 👏
The older puppies also did really well, we worked on introducing some steadiness and progressing our retrieving by watching a thrown dummy turning around and sending back and also recalling away from a thrown dummy and then sending back 👏

Perfect evening for some training on Thursday 🙌❤️☀️

We had our first general training session over at the fabulous Rickneys training ground near Hertford.
Most of the dogs had never trained there before but they all absolutely smashed it 👏

We started with some long memories through the long grass over a track with a mark distraction out the other way into the long grass.
Then we introduced the wooden jumps started simple with a single mark into the pen jump and then progressed onto the double jump and finally finished with a delayed mark over the river with a mark thrown back in the pen jump.
Well done all 👏👏

Super well done the Sunday puppy groups 👏❤️

The younger puppies are all really coming on, their heelwork, sit/stays and recalls around each other are fab!
We had a go at weaving around the other dogs which they all did super well with, started to introduce the stop whistle and finished with fun retrieves 👏
The older puppies are also really progressing, we had a go at sit/ stays with the other dogs walking around which they all smashed.
Recapped the stop whistle exercises and finished with some formal retrieving 👏

On Sunday Cooper and I ran in the URC Bucks Veteran and were lucky enough to get a Com 🎉🎉🥂🥂

Super well done to his sister Daisy for getting a third and Dazzle for getting a third in the Intermediate 👏👏❤️❤️

Thank you for all the birthday wishes 🎉🥂❤️

I had a fabulous day and was totally spoilt!
The dogs and I went for a lovely walk over Dunstable Downs, then had a delicious lunch and spot of shopping with Abbie Reid and then finished with a lovely meal with the Fam ❤️❤️🥂🥂

On Saturday it was more stop whistle!
We put into practice what we had learnt the week before and progressed the exercise to test the dogs and handlers on their stop whistle… all the dogs did fab 👏👏
The younger puppies worked on directions and finished with some hunting … well done 👏👏

Stop whistle was the order of the day on Saturday!
One of the hardest elements to try and achieve especially with a dog that thinks it knows best 😂 and sometimes not the most exciting thing to practice so handlers don’t always train it but it is essential !
We covered a mixture of ways to proof the stop whistle and put it into action.
Super well done to all the novice groups and the older puppies they all smashed it 👏👏

The younger puppies also touched on the stop whistle and are all getting there amazingly!
Then we finished with retrieving and introducing the ‘out’ commend… which they started to get the hang of really quickly 👏👏

On Monday we had and come to on the farm in aid of and part of Sam’s Match Ball Mission.
The dogs got briefly shown on ❤️ and I enjoyed drinking prosecco to celebrate 😂🥂
Keep going Sam you’re doing amazing 💪💪
