Stop whistle was the order of the day for the Saturday groups.
We did a mixture of exercises to remind the dogs about the stop whistle and then tested their understanding.
Well done team we all finished with a successful stop and redirection 👏👏

Then the puppies did well with a mixture of obedience around each other looking at heelwork, sit/stays and puppy recalls, practicing sitting doing nothing is doing something.
We finished the session with some free recalls looking at recall in real life then a fun retrieve.
Super well done all 👏❤️

Little Riot had the best time at Riverlily Working Dogs Fun Day on bank holiday Monday!
He got a 4th in Best Spaniel and 3rd in Best Puppy 🧡🧡

After doing the demo with Riverlily Working Dogs at The Herts and Essex Country Fair we all had a go at the scurry… let’s just say we may have all got a bit competitive and had several goes 😂
Little Millie showing at nearly 11 and half she’s still got it and came 5th 🎉🎉❤️❤️

Super well done to the Saturday groups showing true dedication to training in the awful weather 😂
We started with some ladders to remind the dogs to run through old sent them put it into practice with some long and short retrieves.
Having a mixture of double marks and then short mark and a long blind with a distraction.
Well done all 🙌👏

Well done to the general training workshopers yesterday 👏
First we started in the Maize with a mixture of marks, memories and blinds then we finished in the field with a drive and a walk-up with the launcher.
Well done dogs and handlers 👏❤️

The girls and I had a fab couple training days last week ❤️

Firstly we were training with Fullpip Ltd organised by Diana Stevens, thank you so much for the invite we had a great time in the beet despite the weather!!

Then secondly we trained with Tidy Training With Jamie Bettinson organised by JT Dog Training and had another fab day with a mixture of jumps, water and a launcher… Zeta had a blast!!

Super well done to the puppies at the puppy workshop today 👏

We worked on a mixture of heelwork, sit/ stays and recall around the other dogs.
Learning the most important rule that sitting doing nothing is doing something!!
We were able to walk up to and round each other without getting distracted, as well as recall away from each other and through the other puppies.

More fun in the maize with the Novice groups today 👏

All dogs did really well with a big improvement in marking and hunting in the maize.
We pushed the distances and tested the dogs with a mixture of memory marks and blinds with distractions.

What an A-maize-ing day on Saturday!
(Sorry couldn’t help myself!)
Well done to all the Saturday groups, dogs and handlers had to learn to run and mark in the maize.
We started static with a mixture of marks, memories and blinds, then moved onto a walk-up to lengthen the retrieves and have blinds and memories from different angles.
Well done all 👏👏❤️❤️

Well done to all the groups yesterday… thankfully not as warm as predicted!
All the dogs and handlers worked hard with a mixture of marks, memories and blinds.

Then we had our general training workshop where we worked on a selection of marks, memories and blinds with distractions to test our stopping and handling.

We had the best day at the beach yesterday with Maggie Newcombe and Stacey Mustang Draper and all the dogos!
Lovely walk along the beach then scampi chips and ice cream ❤️😋🧡

Riot was london bound 🏙️🚂🧡

On Tuesday Riot and I joined mum in London as she had an appointment.
He was such a good boy, he went on the train and the underground and after all that excitement feel asleep during lunch!

Well done to little Zeta for getting 4th place on Friday at the Labrador Retriever Club Novice Water Test… so very proud of her and any loss of points were completely down to bad handling by me 🙈

Thank you to the club, committee, judges, helpers, landowners and fellow competitors for a fab day! 🥂❤️👏🎉

Super well done to all that turned up yesterday 💪👏
We had the most awful weather for most of the day so didn’t take many photos but the dogs had a great time (not so sure about the handlers 😂).
We worked on our straight lines going through barriers from one field to another with a mixture of terrain achieving a number of different marks, memories and blinds 👏

Lastly we finished the day with a puppy workshop where we mainly managed to stay dry!
The puppies had a blast and worked on heelwork, sitting doing nothing, sit/stays, recalls and learning to work around each other.
Well done all ⭐️❤️👏

Absolutely brilliant day last Friday in the Sugar Beet… thank you Mike and Sara for setting up some fab retrieves, a very thought out day as always!
Especially proud of Zeta how she really came into her own with some fab marking and great blinds both in the beet and outside it ❤️
Even little Riot had a little retrieve 😂🧡
