🐕 Leashes are a necessary tool for keeping our puppies safe, but they should not be used as a means of steering or controling our dogs.

Proper training, socialisation and exercise are key to having a well-behaved dog that can be trusted in a variety of situations.

Average adult dog sleeps between 12 and 14 hours a day, but puppies can spend anything from 18 to 20 hours in the land of nod! 😴😴

While a dog sleeps, he/she is repacking the day’s memories📽, storing the important ones, and ditching the rest.

Just like people, dogs experience periods of rapid eye movement (REM) sleep. This is when their mind is active, but the body is relaxed.

Yes, puppies are super adorable but raising a puppy can be stressful and it is also a big commitment of time.

Good puppy training can define your dogs behaviour later in life. Raising a confident and well mannered puppy can set you and your dog up for a happy life together. It also help to create a fantastic bond.

It is so much easier for both you and your pup to prevent having any behavioural issues if possible than addressing them as a last resort option.

Have you taught your pup to STOP and STAY?

Roads have been busier with cars and bike than ever. Using the STOP cue is essential to keep your dog safe. Unfortunately not a lot of people slow down near dogs or give them space, so it is really useful to make sure your dog doesn't run in front of any vehicles. It is crucial to start very close to your dog and build up the distance.

🐶 Emotional support dogs support patients with a diagnosed psychological or emotional issue to ease anxiety, depression, some phobias, and loneliness.

Have You Been Petting Your Dog Wrong Your Whole Life?

Of course, no two dogs are the same! However, a general rule of thumb is that the neck, chest and shoulders are places that many dogs like to be petted and not the head.

Imagine the first time you greet a stranger and they pet and rub your head straight away. It's quite a threatening gesture, isn't it?!
