Rated 4 STARS we can ensure that your dogs have better holidays than you do. So a bit about myself. I grew up on the family farm just slightly north of Whitby on the North Yorkshire Coast. Growing up on the farm I was always out and about with our Jack Russel's Labradors and Sheep dogs. I then got My first spaniel when I returned from Agricultural college in1996. I moved to Hertfordshire in 2000 w

ith Spaniel of the time Abbie and have since personally owned Clyde another Springer, Spice a working Cocker and her 2 daughters Pickle and Parsley. We now have Stanley the Springer who I took under my wing about 4 years ago after his family emigrated to New Zealand (those who have met Stan can possibly understand their logic !!!) And then there's Douglas, a Border x Norfolk terrier who was supposed to spend his days farming with my husband on the tractor but Doug much prefers the comfort of the Rayburn in the kitchen. David has lived in the village all of his life working on; and now running, the family farm business. We have 2 children in the mix. Charlie-rose who has reached dizzy teenage heights and Oliver who is about to start his secondary school journey. Home boarding seemed like a natural progression for me having looked after many friends dogs over the years. I am Ofqual level 3 qualified in Animal Welfare and Handling and also hold current a certificate in Dog First Aid and Emergency Canine Care. We look forward to meeting you all very soon.

Jeez this job of mine is bloody tough ... just had the sad news that one of 'my' dogs has gone over the 🌈. He has struggled with Epilepsy for the past couple of years. His Humans have tried every combination of treatment, but tonight, it was just too much

CSJ says in a recent BBC podcast Medical Microbiologist Professor Sally Cutler has highlighted the need to be aware of the threat from infections spread by ticks.

Having recently warned that it was time for pet owners to act by using their natural herbal products such as Billy No Mates! and Skinny Spray (which can safely be sprayed on humans as well as dogs and horses), CSJ say the fascinating podcast gives more valuable information about ticks, why they are spreading and their danger.

In the Radio 4 podcast ‘Inside Health’, featuring ‘We go on a tick hunt’, presenter James Gallagher speaks with Professor Cutler about why scientists are worried about ticks and goes with her on a hunt for them in Richmond Park …

After easily collecting several specimens, they go back to the lab where James sees them under a microscope and finds out how and why new species of ticks and new diseases could be coming our way - and what you can do to keep safe.

CSJ’s founder Ceri Rundle says, “With Climate Change causing mild winters and lots of re-wilding taking place we know that ticks are becoming increasingly prevalent and are quick to latch onto and gorge themselves on innocent passing animals – but Professor Cutler explains in more depth just how much of a problem they are and why.”

Ceri adds, “As we live on a working sheep farm, we protect our working Border Collies with Billy No Mates! herbs on food and they and ourselves with our Skinny Spray. When we launched our Skinny products range the word of how effective Skinny Spray can be for people as well as animals soon spread and we now have legions of customers including walkers, working dog owners and pet owners who use it on themselves and their animals.

Containing no preservatives, sulphates or artificial colours it couldn’t be easier to use – simply apply a light spray mist daily and it can also be used on pet bedding and sleeping areas.”

Professor Sally Cutler is a Medical Microbiologist who has specialised on infections acquired from animals (zoonoses) and is Professor in Medical Microbiology at the University of East London.

Bit wet this morning !!

When Holly, my regular Friday dog walk, gets more than she bargained for with a post walk 'farmer call out' .... think she enjoyed her little spin out

It's been a busy few months having fun with your Paws, GCSE's, end of term stuff and Portuguese holidays but we are still here ticking over ...bring on the summer! We got this 💪🫶

Not sure how I survived the last 2 weeks of mud with Misha our White Rose... thank goodness we weren't in a hosepipe ban... She enjoyed her hot shower before heading home this afternoon. Hats off to all the Samoyed owners out there - I will stick to spaniels that I can run the clippers over !!

So this morning was so nice I felt compelled to take photos of ALL the drying mud that we have trugged through for what seems like an eternity ....seems like it wasn't meant to be as I now sit listening to yet more rain #muddydogs #bringonthesummer #greatbritishweather

So today we took the dogs to Brancaster Beach (we only had Wilf the Lurcher and yes I did ask owner permission to take him) safe to say that after 2 hours on the beach they all slept soundly all the way back - via The Crab Hut and The fish shed at Brancaster Staithe and then into Wells-next-the Sea for fish and chips and a cheeky icecream #brancasterbeach #brancasterstaithe #thefishshedbrancasterstaithe #thecrabhutbrancasterstaithe #hitchindogs

At 13 the lovely Amber is slowing down, so we all had shorter walks this weekend so that she could enjoy the company at her own pace ...she still has to feel the mud on her Paws though 😍😍
