Balcormo bred Lafforcry and Kinda Lika - born a year apart ( both share King Of Diamonds in the grand sure of their pedigree) they went training together as 4 and 5 yr olds - then last week they both were smart contenders in their working hunter classes and Kinda also in a flat class at The Royal Highland Show Both went home with rosettes and happy owners. 🏵️

Neither of these ladies wanted in the pictures - but they are in. Judge Alison - who today was assistant course builder along with Linda Lucey ~ and Elaine Miller - the worker behind the scenes for the whole show - not just the jumping but the Secretary for everything-
We have photographic evidence that she was quite calm on the Friday afternoon!
Big thanks to Paddy Hughes of Horse First for once again providing a Hamper which will go to a very lucky winner.

Anyone who would like to
Lend a hand in the showjumping department at Fife Show at the weekend please let me know. Still needing a few pole pickers on Sunday / don’t need to do the whole day - but do need to be a better runner than me

There will be an afternoon of jumping training and fun at Balcormo sometime soon for all those who join in and help

Fantastic end to the season for the gorgeous JUSTDUNITT finishing 3rd at Calmsden Horse Trials with Lucy Jackson Eventing adding nothing to their very impressive 25 dressage! This talented 6 year old has come on no end this season having never evented to making his International debut at Cornbury House Horse Trials and will certainly be one to look out for in the future!

EXCITING NEWS
A short burst of top class dressage :
We are pleased to announce that Stephanie Delpierre and Dominique Flament will be joining us to provide an inspiring dressage demonstration during the evening with Mark Todd.
Stephanie Delpierre will demonstrate movements up to Grand Prix level, on her Lusitano stallion, Sino De Almeida, under the explanation and guidance of Dominique Flament.
Stéphanie is International Dressage rider and trainer level 3. Dominique is International Dressage Trainer. Formerly International Eventing and Dressage rider.

This will give Toddy a breather - he has a busy night riding and demonstrating on a selection of horses that he does not know much about!

This weeks topics could include -
Time Faults and how to avoid them - having been allocated a couple myself on Saturday in the Foxhunter . It's a bad job when you put the course builder up for the weekend ~ food,beer,lend him your car ~ and you get time faults!
However - I was not the only one so perhaps it would be good to practice going up a beat!
