* Apologies in advance for a long & slightly rambling post *

No puppy pictures today as it was a busy day with 3 💜🧡💛 of the pups being united with their new families and 💚🤍 reporting back on their first night in their new 🏡.

❤️💙 are continuing to enjoy each others company for a little longer. They complained a bit about being ignored while their siblings were moving, but this evening were loving getting the run of the play pen, as well as some 1:1 time with both of us in the sitting room.
This was followed by enthusiastically greeting Alli who will help look after them over the next couple of days along with Lesley, as we are away.

So we thought that this would be a good time to acknowledge everyone who’s support has so helped us with looking after our Tilli , her bundles of joy & TinTin, our boy, who wasn’t quite sure why he suddenly wasn’t enough of a puppy for us anymore ☺️

- Lynne from Little Freuchie Gundogs for advice on all aspects of breeding, whelping box and looking after TinTin.

-Fraser Forbes who helped us find a reliable canine fertility service while on holiday in Moray & Fiona of Canine Fertility Services - Moray Coast who got the dates spot on!

- Kevin Haynes for letting Keen be the stud for this litter, being patient with novices (Tilli & us) and providing class A puppy food with his Cairngryffe grain free, fish based formula.

- Sally from Hartleyjean Golden Retrievers - for letting us meet her lovely boy, Tim, even if the stars didn’t line up on this occasion due to limitations of how far we could travel, when Tilli finally decided to come into season.

- Mariusz from Redgranate Cocker Spaniels for scanning, microchipping and whelping advice, his wife Gosia for making our lovely individual leaving day totes

- Paws and Claws for being so flexible with walks for Tilli & TinTin during her last week of pregnancy & since

- Daniel & his mum Elizabeth for dropping in regularly and keeping us & the pups entertained.

- my colleagues - the team from Nicu Ninewells Hospital for asking for pup dates, helping with the 💖rescue mission & providing our 2 puppy sitting volunteers above

- Parkside Veterinary Group & Vets Now Dundee for making sure we didn’t have a puppy in distress still hiding in Tilli, checking Mr Pink 💖& giving honest advice, as well as sorting all his siblings for their vaccinations & vet check.

- and last but absolutely not least: Laura from BottleBrigade Scotland - Aiding with cleft/fading puppies and kittens who gave us the advice & confidence to give Mr Pink 💖 his chance by learning how to tube feed him. And who has since day 8 cared for him and grown him into as bright & confident a pup as his siblings. All while looking after her (human&pet) family & working night shifts at the OOH vet service in Edinburgh. And of course to her husband & family who made 💖 welcome as part of their tribe .

As you can see it takes a village not only to raise a child but also to raise a (first) litter !
It has been an amazing journey on so many levels & we can’t wait to find out where the Balruddery A-litter will go from here ❣️
