🤣 This is so accurate! The wind certainly made doing the yard harder work but all the horses were mucked out, bedded up, hayed and watered by lunchtime. Emma 1 - Storm Eowyn 0 👊🏼💪🏼

‼️ Ashgill will be closed all this week ‼️
We have around 12 inches of snow! It’s forecast to freeze all week and will not be safe to get the horses out. All lessons booked for this week will be extended in to the half term holidays or we can fit in an extra night during the term. Stay safe 🫶

Dressage- Train and test
Saturday 14th December at Wynbury Stables

‼️There has been a change to times! Please check ‼️

The caravan will be open for refreshments 🍰☕️. CASH only!

🐶No dogs!

Each rider gets 20 minutes- you have 2 options. Option 1. - you will warm up with either Debbie Ridout or Chris then ride your test.
Option 2. you can ride your test first then get feedback and work through some sections that you feel needs improving.

The outdoor will be available to warm up in before your time slot.

Tests will not run in class order so it allows us to transport our horses back and forth!
You will get to take your test away with you but results will only be available at the end of the day 😀

Beautiful but freezing evening 🥶 Thankfully our Foley's Equestrian Surfaces Ltd arena surface doesn’t freeze!

Sadly we had to have poor old Polly put to sleep today.
We may have only had her a couple of months but it’s always hard to lose one of the team.
We got her with the intentions of bringing her back in to work in the spring and using her to do our toddler sessions and the odd potter around the ponds doing lead outs. She was 28 but looked fantastic and still enjoyed getting out and about!
She had really started to settle in to life at Ashgill and was enjoying getting fussed over by the kids (and me! 🫶)!
Sadly, she took a turn and lost all her sight, after a visit from the vet we decided the kindest thing to do was let her go.
Its the risk you take when taking on an older animal but I really do hope she enjoyed spending her last couple of months with us, loved and cared for. I’m heartbroken 💔they truly are part of our family.
