VIOLET🐾💜

We had the best time together. We had lots of adventures and definitely got our steps in. From a hike, walks around her usual spots, a little walk up Rivington, visits to secure fields and even watched England get to the Semi Finals! She also met some new friends.

It’s safe to say she’ll always pose for a little treat or two🤣😅

Walter🐈

I looked after Walter for his mum and dad while they went for the weekend. Walter has lots of different traits to his personality; he loves his food, chatting away, cuddles and the company of someone in the home.

Walter is an indoor cat due to medical reasons so it is important that he gets what he needs within the home🏡

Todays vet nurse of the day is Chloe!

- How long have you been at Chorley vets and what is your previous background?
I started at Chorley vets in June 2021, so nearly 3 years now 😊 I am currently a second year student nurse.

- What is the best part of being an SVN?
The best part of being a SVN is being able to nurse our patients back to good health and see them going home with their families, very rewarding.

- Do you have a favourite pet?
I love a Labrador 🐶

- How did you decide that you wanted to become a vet nurse?
After working in practice as an VCA, I realised I wanted to progress in my role within practice.

- Why do you think it is so important to recognise and celebrate the VN profession?
We are such a hard working profession who put our heart and soul into the caring for patients in all kinds of situations.

My mate Meeko,

This was my first time dog sitting for Meeko while his family visited the lakes for the weekend. He was a lovely boy and loved a good back scratch.

We went on a couple of lovely walks over the weekend I had him and of course he slept on the bed every night keeping us both company.

Meeko, loved a good zoomie around the back garden in the morning. I look forward to see you again🥰

Meet my little fur babies Penny and Oscar🤍

Penny was brought to us as a little kitten, her mum came in as a stray at work and her little ones needed rehoming. As you can see our penny loves a selfie and snuggles, only on her terms though. We have a very spoilt girl who is loved so very much.

Then we have our old man Oscar. We rehomed him a couple of years later, we had to really take our time with him. He only really started to show his true personality and settle in after about 2 years. But now after four, it’s safe to say he loves his food, having a wonder outside for 5 minutes, his early bedtime with mum and sometimes his little sister👀

DUKEEEEEE!🐾

He's a funny little character and he is now used to me coming in and out of the house.
I go around to Duke's when his mum and dad are away.

His favourite time of the day is morning and evening when he goes for his walks. He has a very special diet so l ensure I stick to this.

His dad misses him a lot when he's a away, so I send plenty of pictures and updates of Duke's day🥹

My little gang🐶🐾

I’ve looked after this gorgeous bunch a couple of times while their family has been enjoying some well deserved time away.

A mix of breeds and ages, meaning different needs to be met for them all. They all have one thing in common, they all love the cuddles on the sofa🤍🥰

Everyone meet Narla and Zelda😍😍

I looked after these little angels while their mum and dad went out for the afternoon and evening a few weeks back.

We went on a lovely walk around the area they live in, had some tea and got lots of cuddles and snuggles in.

I will be back in a few months to look after their little furbabies for a full weekend. It’s safe to say I definitely have two more friends in my life🥰

It’s safe to say our friendship definitely grew over the week I looked after her. From lots of cuddles, dreamies and her waiting for me at the door. Her owner even got a birthday message🎈
