Poor little girl😭❤️ so happy she is on the mend!
WHO DOES THIS?????? Who would throw an animal out in this state.
Meet Betty Boop as we have called her. Betty is little Boston Terrier found by a member of the public on the street in B32. She had a vaginal prolapse, her legs are heavily urine stained, she is extremely thin weighing in at 6kg and her rear end has a lot of muscle wastage :'( she also has no microchip.
We spoke with the dog wardens and said we would take on her veterinary bills and try and save her life and so she was taken straight to YourVets, Solihull for treatment as the prolapse looked necrotic. The pain and discomfort this poor girl has endured is extreme. At the vets she was treated with sugar water, this helps to shrink the prolapse and one it had shrunk enough, Betty had emergency surgery over night where the vets managed to get the prolapse back inside and then had to stitch it in place so it didn't come back out. Once that was dealt with the vets moved onto the uterus and spayed her, once they had opened her up they discovered she had pyometra too. She has stayed in the vets over night and most of today where she has been supported with antibiotics, fluids and pain relief. This afternoon she has come out and is currently at Lin's until tomorrow when she will go into foster.
Betty has got to be kept calm so she doesn't get over excited and tear the stitches and she needs lots of love and tlc for the foreseeable future until she is full healed and has gained weight. Please offer your prayers, healing and love and light for this little girl
